  1. Dont do anything stupid OP. Its just money. You can make it back

  2. Is it just possible that when World War 2 ended and the entire European industrial sector was destroyed that perhaps it led to America becoming a dominant world economy and that this growing economy provided great opportunities for upward social mobility over the subsequent 50 years? Perhaps the issue is not so much with a generation but with the reality that China and other developing economies are catching up and that as our economy wanes in comparison to theirs that our standard of living will also decline. Britain in the 19th century was the predominant world economy and they never gained that predominance after WW2. Nations generally do not stay as economic power indefinitely. What the OP is starting to realize is that he/she may have a standard of living below their grandparents. Just because you are an American does not mean you are going to have a luxury lifestyle regardless of the stupid crap people post on social media. Would you be happier growing in Africa? Remember it is all relative and many people around the world would trade places with you in a heartbeat.

  3. He's oversimplifing Grandpas day and age. Looking at the highlights and ignoring all the horrible shit they lived with.

  4. Yep and then there was the great bonus of the Vietnam War. Either go to college and if you can't afford it then get drafted and spend a year in the jungle fighting the North Vietnamese.

  5. I mean I like Pho and hookers so..... Vietnam for a year could have had its moments.

  6. Borrow from another bank to cover that then borrow from another to pay the other bank off

  7. Sue their balls off, and cite the case study of the kid who fucking killed himself due to a Robinhood glitch.

  8. Hope nobody finds this thread and brings copy to court to show just how fuckin dumb he is

  9. Try Kings Canyon. It’s the other lesser traveled yosemite.

  10. You hit on the other part of the problem..... influencers. Social media is the bane of parks and scenic places. Yosemite and Grand Canyon are always busy but now the crush of people is far beyond there. Once a place is found by an influencer, every hipster and wanna be follows.......selfie stick in hand.

  11. Yeah you should have seen the mess they made during last year's fire falls... It was like all of the bay area showed up to get their Instagram shots, while leaving a wake of trash and destruction. Parking in the meadows, leaving trash everywhere, just walking out into the road without looking. Then panic charging back to their cars when the sun went down and the temps dropped quickly.

  12. Hmmm maybe because of so many areas that had suspended foreclosure have expired in the past few months.

  13. They're good for 300-500k miles on average. Some of the packs in development are aiming for a million miles. They rarely "go bad" they just stop holding as much of a charge. This is a problem for vehicles that need a high density of energy, but they could still be used for things like power walls, where energy density isn't as important.

  14. I'm not familiar with what you're referring to. The warranty measures the batteries capacity in kWh, the amount of electricity it will hold. The mileage you get out of those kWh is always going to fluctuate. Your car is less efficient when its traveling faster, air resistance is roughly the cube of speed after all. Then there are things like fast acceleration, AC usage, temperature's effect on the battery, etc. ICE vehicles are also impacted by most of these factors, though its not as noticeable because people usually only pay attention to the fuel gauge.

  15. Still moving in a upward direction. Either as a single piece or many.
