  1. Veganism isn't about YOU, friend. It's about the animals, and the planet.

  2. I don't think anyone suggested that people being offended was a good reason to go vegan - you're the only one suggesting that, friend.

  3. I've only been vegan since November but I really resonate with everything you wrote. I used to eat a lot af animal products because of the exercising, protein, gym culture, etc.(which really makes me hate my past self for not realizing earlier) But I decided to become vegan overnight and have never changed my mind once about it. If there are hunters who can become vegan, those who don't after some thinking, just want to live in a care free environnement where most nasty parts of reality won't even get noticed. (Sorry for the bad syntax, English isn't my first language).

  4. I live with mid 30s, millennial toddlers (who have both never once paid market rent.

  5. This article was a pain to read. It's completely riddled with strawman arguments and false assumptions.

  6. I feel like my time was wasted. But I always give of it only what I can afford to lose.

  7. Carbs and starch are literally sugars and they make you fat, give fat livers and induce insulin resistance. - getaway to type 2 diabetics.

  8. Meat and dairy consumption are correlated with obesity and type 2 diabetes.

  9. Every one of the studies in the link only look at meat consumption; not overall diet, meaning they have no data on carbs consumption as part of said diet.

  10. That's actually not true - the studies looked at over all diet, servings of fruit and veg and other factors. Some tracked bloodwork as well.

  11. Of course you work really hard, thats why you so mad about people actually working hard. Totally makes sense. 😉

  12. You only earn 60 an hour because you are lazy. The whole point of this sub is to earn more. Would you grindmaxx you could earn much more than 60 an hour.

  13. Why do I need to earn more? I already have more than I need.

  14. Why did you circle and highlight the titles of the posts? Those aren't written by the same person.

  15. You're an inspiration! I also reset my badge an embarrassing number of times before I hit my current stride.

  16. A couple of glasses of wine or a gin and Tonic are great

  17. They're also poisonous, unnecessary and highly addictive. Alcohol - like meat- has been portrayed to us as a normal, nice, necessary, natural thing to ingest. The truth is that it's the most addictive drug with the highest mortality rate and contributes to millions of deaths per year.

  18. Didn’t know people were so heated over vegans. Some people in this thread are crazy!

  19. There are full on anti-vegan hate subs - it's wild. They go out of their way to find vegan content to post and whip themselves into a frenzy about.

  20. I have saved this and read it every other week. It is so well worded and encapsulates everything I feel in a way I could never convey

  21. I'm so glad to hear that I've given you a bit of help on your journey, friend. I wish you a happy holiday season and a safe and sober New Year!

  22. I drank so much in large part due to my untreated mental illness. I understand the allure of alcohol to quell those anxious, racing thoughts and to numb those feelings of misery and desperation. And then you get into this endless cycle where drinking makes you feel physically and mentally worse, but it's also the only thing that seems to make you feel better.

  23. I absolutely hate the fact that customers can purchase a product, use it/damage it and return it for absolutely no reason. I know that this is part of Amazon's business model to increase confidence in online selling, but it is immensely frustrating to lose money because some idiot bought a cup and then it "failed to meet their expectations."

  24. You can appeal to Amazon to strike it, if the feedback is considered invalid.

  25. I feel you. I have a small surplus store in my town that is an absolute goldmine - but I'm always self-conscious going in there to buy multiples of the same, weird items.

  26. No matter where I am in my treatment cycle, I constantly fear the absolute worst and get fixated on the most negative outcomes I can Google.

  27. I’ve been feeling extra anxious this week, it feels like I have much more cortisol than normal and can’t focus on anything. Coffee not needed, feeling super speedy (but not in a good way). Also had a nightmare where I got to see my 5 embryos in the freezers and all of them had died in the freezer (?). Side effect of estradiol or side effect of IVF craziness? I haven’t been affected by the stimulation and hormones at all, but this is my first time doing a medicated FET.

  28. I have Bipolar Type 2 and am particularly sensitive to hormonal and medication changes in general, so take this with a grain of salt for yourself.

  29. I just got my bloodwork back today for our first embryo transfer. I'm 12DP5DT and the nurse said my hcg is 945, which she said is a strong result.

  30. Cautious congrats! That’s a lovely beta. I would strongly think you’ll need to keep up with the progesterone. Most stay on it in some form until 10-12 weeks. I am doing estrogen patches twice a week and they said when I run out I’m done.

  31. Thank you! I'm trying to read up on beta levels, but find the literature confusing. I left a voice-mail with the clinic to confirm what I should still be taking - can't be too careful.

  32. Have any of you ladies experienced food aversion from the estrogen and progesterone? I'm having a hell of a time eating some things I normally would - even junkfood I normally like is unappealing.

  33. Good luck! Are you resisting the siren song of the HPT?

  34. Yes, I am. I don't even keep them in the house anymore. That way by the time I get to the store, I've been able to talk myself out of a test and into some treats. :D

  35. Transfer today! 🤞 Can’t believe it’s here. And not looking forward to the wait to come.

  36. Oh, friend, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Zachary and Danny were obviously already so special and occupied such an important part in your life.

  37. It the hormones. Btw, this needs to be moved to the treatment thread. The chat thread is for anything not associated with treatment, even questions about side effects.

  38. It’s the hormones. I’ve been having the same issue!

  39. Glad to know I'm not the only sweaty mess. Best of luck!

  40. Had my first embryo transfer from our first donor cycle this AM. Out of our lot of 6 eggs, we transferred a 3AB today with 2 others being frozen.

  41. Those are great numbers and good luck with the transfer. Btw, I think you meant to post this on the treatment thread?

  42. I made it to 9dp5dt without testing at home. Tomorrow is my beta. Will probably test before I go in though lol. I’m pretty sure I made it this far not out of discipline but out of fear that it will be negative. I feel like I’m going psychotic though with thinking it’s a success or not. I convince myself one way and then the next hour totally convinced the other.
