Antique-Lavishness-1

Over the course of two years I have quit drinking after a near death experience, quit cigarettes, quit weed, started a solo music project and started working out in that order. Took this selfie yesterday in the middle of an 18 mile walk downtown. I feel amazing, it happened! I didn’t think it would.

  1. Lol I have not heard of this but as an RSO at the Sheriffs Range, about 60% of the accidental discharges on file we have are from either drawing from a holster or returning to the holster. A lot of people will “sweep” themselves or someone else during this process.

  2. You can’t AD from drawing or returning to holster that negligent. Accidental implies a equipment malfunction that wasn’t caused by user error. So you mean to tell me even “ professionals “ ND ? Despite being trained.

  3. No I pointed it out “ professionals “ fuck up in multiple comments and the post body

  4. Because it’s about being open to firearms ownership, it’s not a subreddit like

  5. I have a lot of things to get/upgrade, so I always try to find the sweet spot between quality and not breaking the bank. thinking $100-150 as reasonable, prepared to be very wrong though

  6. I been happy with options from LAPG though it is only available in solid and multicam.

  7. Thank you how about the load out on and in the pack?

  8. Entirely mission dependent >6h assault sometimes you don’t even need a pack if you do it’s mostly stuff that won’t fit on your rig ,water, ammo and chow. A week long recon however your gonna want a 65L pack or even larger.

  9. Cause the tlr1 or x300 on rifles actually slap if you don’t shoot long range night shoots

  10. Webbing is all about keeping the user cool ,allowing them to go prone and carry a large ruck sack. When you are in a vehicle or carrying a smaller load that’s when a chest rig shines.

  11. I normally just have a packable jacket in my pocket or my Fanny. Also keep a poncho in my pack. While I do have the option of wearing a goretex top and bottom I normally don’t pack them as rain is not a huge issue here.

  12. Running a placard with tubes mounted on them and the axl cummerbund would work and would be a quality but not insanely expensive upgrade.

  13. But then what to do with the vest strap? Still gotta f around with that lol

  14. Lapg has a bunch of decent pants 20% off for a couple more hours $15-40 a pop the stretch pants are super comfy and the pocket layout is sweet

  15. I think LAPG pants are a solid value, as long as you read the reviews to see what people have to say about the fit. They are unfortunately made in China (or mine were, anyway) and maybe in different factories, since the sizing isn't always consistent. However, they offer a ton of options, and have some good colors. I really dig their Sierra color, and have some "Core Stealth" cargo pants on the way right now in that color.

  16. Us fabric as far as I know though so it’s not a bad budget option kinda like LBX or grey ghost gear

  17. If you are trying to put the entire stock/brace in the “pocket” of your shoulder, you’re doing it wrong. All you need is the heal. The proverbial rifle to your face vice your face to the rifle.

  18. More in your shoulder pocket the more recoil control you have though it can be not efficient in other areas. I wouldn’t say your wrong to do so in every case

  19. I actually place the stock further toward the "ball" of my shoulder when I'm getting on the trigger.

  20. Yeah I do too especially in kit . But with certain gear/rifle set ups I get more of the stock in the shoulder.

  21. Bds tactical Fanny pack. Literally could spend overnight in the woods with just that comfortably and the 2 inch strap is much better and is stiff enough that if you really wanted you could run a knife on it if you wanted to., I run a dump/ rifle pouch on one side , water bottle pouch on the other , knife and chem lights on the pouch molle , tq on top and shock cord on the bottom for cold/wet weather top or even a poncho or woobie. Ifak is in the main pocket , sere / gp gear is in the other pockets

  22. It’s the shit if you run no gun belt or just a holster and mags. Know a few marines and one army guy that love them. Can really put the kitchen sink on it if you needed or leave it bare and it’s still quite spacious without being overly bulky.

  23. Ditch the Baofeng and go Yaesu for a slightly more capable radio. Spend time learning your radio so you can be an effective communicator.

  24. I have a 3 liter pack on multiple back packs and the bump pouch on the belt fits a bottle or two well.

  25. It’s looking like multi cam, I wish it had a little more green in it. I’d like something IR treated for sure. Even though we are a little redneck down here, the Gucci gear is still tucked away in the trailer somewhere.

  26. Hey man I feel that you never know who might be your advisory. Trust me though with the amount of woodland in the world and especially the US the military would have mass stocks of a woodland specific camo. But we don’t because multicam is so effective. What I’ve noticed works well is something like a multicam bottom and a FG or Tiger stripe or m81 top.
