I agree. However, trials is end game pvp. Akin to GM Nightfalls. You wouldn’t jump straight into GMs if you barely survived normal strikes (Control) would you? Or maybe you’d consider trying legend (Elimination) and master (Survival) first?
There’s no such thing as endgame pvp. Its a game mode that happens to only be around on weekends and uses a different system. There’s nothing that intrinsically makes a match in trials harder than 6v6. You can run into sweats in either.
I think grinding 7 wins in a row to get an adept weapon is a little harder than a single win or loss to get a crucible weapon but maybe that’s just me. It’s not about how sweaty any single game can be. Arms dealer GM is quicker than a normal corrupted strike for me too for example.

I think you severely downplay this cancer in trials. More people would play and after sbmm comes back around more people will go into trials again. Nothing worse than getting to game six and matching the same guy over and over again getting dropped to 0 wins again because he has nothing else to do but farm the non flawless pool.
