  1. Keep up the good work and let us know how things go for you 👍

  2. Are those half gallon jars? How often did you have to add nutrient solution? I wonder if a 2 gallon container would be adequate for one tiny tim plant without having to refill weekly...

  3. Huh, I thought you have to size the kratky container in a way that you don't have to top nutrients up because of the air roots. That's what kept me away from kratky style. Good to know it works this way.

  4. Yes you just have to make sure you don’t overfill. The tomatoes drink about 600-800mls a day and I only fill to 300mls. I open them up and the reservoir is dry sometimes.

  5. You haven't added any water since you started? You're not using soil right, just the expanded clay? If you have a link to a post with more info, I'd appreciate it otherwise I'm curious how you set up. Most of my seedlings go through a period using the Kratky method before they go to my aeroponic buckets, so I'm curious. Give me the amount of water I've seen those consume, it's hard to imagine getting into flower let alone through it without either adding a lot of water, for having a very wide reservoir. 😁

  6. Yes it is Kratky but I treat it more like a DWC. Fruiting and flowering plants need a lot more nutrients. Worth the reservoir being so small they quickly take nutrients and take the PH too high.

  7. Nice, do you have adjustable straps for them? I’m guessing no because of the cup?

  8. I do. The cup is so it’s even with a plant in a bigger jar. Check my page to check it out.

  9. For sure, defoliate a bit give the bud sites more light

  10. Dude I don’t know enough yet to defoliate I think. This is an auto by PhotonPharms. Not sure how old I just let it go. I’d I would defoliate, which leave would I take?

  11. try to get pics of the calyxes and not the sugar leaves.,👍

  12. Hmmm ok. Quick google search doesn’t give me much clarity what that is lol. Could you give me a brief description as to where?

  13. Oh, sorry amigo. So the calyxes are the actual buds. They look very similar to the bracts that you'll find at the nodal spots on your girl.

  14. First grow was DWC. I didn’t like how much maintenance there was. After researching I found resources that showed kratky grows all the way through flowering.

  15. Everyone seems to think autos are great for the first time grower. They can be temperamental and a bit more difficult at times. I really prefer photos. Have grown a couple autos in the past. I’m a bit of a control freak when it comes to my plants. I have decided to try some of The_Photon_Pharms genetics. Can’t wait to pop the Double Grape Slurricane and the Mountain Rain. Have to get the photos done then on to these autos. 😁

  16. After growing this in anticipation of it being an auto it has me thinking about how a little more convenient they can be in a smaller space. Would mainlining a photo in a small space be a good idea?

  17. Hey you may want to paint your tote lid black, it helps to prevent excess light from penetrating the plastic. If you see bad root conditions, this may be your issue. Great looking setup otherwise! 👏

  18. That is not typical, it's a sign of amazing growth. My clones jump from 3-leaves directly to seven, but only when everything is being done right. A slow growing plant will often give you only five leaves and that will happen after much greater node spacing. All of those are signs of weak growth and or insufficient blue red light ratio (or red far red ratio, still trying to confirm which it is.)

  19. Yeah I’m not sure what’s going on still. It’s supposed to be an auto. It’s been through two rounds of pretty heavy defoliation and it will not stop growing lol

  20. Have you flipped to flower? If so, this is natural.

  21. I'd love some more info on your environment, nutrients, and anything else you think is relevant I haven't asked about 😁

  22. Aw man thanks. Being a new grower it’s a bit intimidating asking questions. Plus, even when I think I know, I know I don’t because I’ve never seen it. This grow has been a great learning lesson, and if I didn’t grow tomatoes in DWC first I think I would be much worse off. I definitely think that I’ll get at least some type of yield from this grow.

  24. You can't see much until the last of the three photos. Is the plant in flowering stage?

  25. Lol I don’t know. First grow. Supposed to be an auto but we are coming up on 45 days.

  26. Did you do a lot of LST? I think I have done too much on my banners + defoliation, almost HST :D im a little bit behind too. Takes a little bit longer they said in one fastbudsvideo if you stress her a lot, but gets bigger. Looking very nice

  27. Yeah man I put an LST clip on early. Plant ties and everything. This being my first grow, it seems photos may be a bit more simple. Gonna pop those seeds next for sure.

  28. How long has it been in veg? I have had a couple pretty big autos.

  29. Everyone saying ladybugs, I’m sure it works but that adds a big level of complexity and you’re still dealing with bugs and bug shit. I’ve read problems of not being able to keep them in one area, or them making a mess etc, also so close to harvest it’s just doesn’t make sense.

  30. You know, drying in the refrigerator might work. Ed Rosenthal wrote about it in his book. 40°F, brown paper bags with hydrometer. It’s supposed to make great stuff. Then cure in jars after about the same amount of time.

  31. I use grow nutes untill I see buds forming and then use bloom nutes and start dehumidifying. Genetics is everything with autos and don't need a lot of nutes. 3 plants in a small room in full bloom will remove all CO2 and they will stop growing.

  32. So today I see pistils for sure. Ok to start bringing bloom nutes in? I was thinking I would do half veg, half bloom at first, and keep EC at 1.0. What do you think?

  33. I use 24hr light for 80 to 90 days with my autos in hydro setup and get monster buds as long as your arm but I use CO2 at 1200 ppm. I defoliate every other week to make sure buds get full light penetration.your humidity is too low in veg and it makes the leaves bumpy looking
