It’s certainly best to ask a local recruiter, as rules may have changed from when I joined. When I was enlisting: if you were actively on an SSRI you’d need to have been off it for a certain amount of time before you can be considered. I was diagnosed with depression as a teenager, disclosed it, and was told it wasn’t important so long as I was no longer seeing treatment and was off SSRIs for about a year.

A year ago I intentionally overdosed on prescribed medication but survived and stayed in a hospital for a week. Never want to do that again. Life blows massively sometimes but it’s better to push through.

To be a little more explicit than the other comment: your pay is actually once per month. You get paid on the 1st of each month (may hit your account sooner due to holidays, USAA early posting, etc. but the 1st is the LES date) for the prior month.

I’m US military and depending on your career type and location- you would be shocked at the numbers lol. I would say about 1/3 of people I’ve personally met identify as something other than straight.
