1. Oooops. The exact moment sweet baby shibe realizes that someone's mom and dad pull a fast one and the destination is the vet....not the park But perhaps they will redeem themselves by providing a puppucino, afterwards.

  2. Yoshi is a very lovely sesame!!!! You should show him off! I 💕💕

  3. That, is a favorite spot!!! My two males, who are gone now...each in turn, slept on the bed with me. Each loved, during the winter, to plaster their back against mine so we were each toasty....💕

  4. Sooooo wonderful!!!! Congratulations to you all!

  5. Happy 1st birthday, sweet boy!!! May you have many, many more!!!

  6. Hard quesrion to answer. It depends on the "type" of shiba your breeder breeds, and "type" means "style". Over the years I've had thinner, lankier ones and I've had more compact ones with plush coats. Look at pictures of the sire and dam. There will be a clue there, though when breeding dogs and horses, serious breeders will tell you, you don't get the mother and father, look at the grandparents! Having said that...some lines develop fast and look terrific at a year or so. God never blessed me with that joy. I was always hiding mine in the backyard until they were 2 before I could show them. My last dog was from Japan. He was the most adorable puppy until about 8 mos where he proceeded to look like a German Shepherd. Not kidding. Long, thin snout, big ears, narrow head...lanky legs. In desperation, when he was about 14 months old I emailed the breeder who sent me the following email.

  7. Go to a good breeder please, not a puppy mill. The AKC website has lists of breeders by breed and area. The national club has a wonderful rescue program. Check it out as well. Good luck!

  8. I battled it for years with my boy. Inhalant allergies. Vaccum a lot...buy the best allergen furnace filters...I used to get the $19 ones....get a big air purifier for the room he spends the most time in. I got mine at Costco. If you ate in a house, get your ducts cleaned. And start small with the meds. Try benadryl tabs first before going right to shots and all the prescription stuff.

  9. This looks like it could be a seizure. Getting your dog to a vet soon would be for the best to see if there’s something else going on. Typically if a dog is looking around scared but unable to move it’s indicative of something neurological.

  10. Spot on!!! Looked like a mild seizure to me as well. It's excellent that you have recorded it, so the vet can see it. Also try and remember when the episodes occurred. After play? Afternoon? Morning? In case something is triggering it. Also, how does he react as he comes out of it? Does he just go to his bed and sleep? All this will help the vet. I had an older shibe with somewhat similar episodes. While he is in the middle of one, be careful...speak softly and only gently try to touch him, out of confusion and fear he could bite. Praying for you both.

  11. At our house, this means... Ahhhh, Mom....this stuff is for shit. Not interested.

  12. I am so sorry. How handsome! I understand what you are going through. Lost my old one last April. I am sending you a big hug.

  13. Noooooo. Do not fret. Each line of dogs matures differently. Many, many years ago I got a male shiba from Japan. He was the cutest, most adorable puppy. Then about 4 months, his muzzle began to grow....and grow....and grow. He looked like a german shepherd! No kidding!! It went on for months. He looked scrawny and lanky. I emailed the breeder....and told him about his head. He wrote back, "Not to worry...his head will explode." True story. Of course he meant broaden, and it did, but not until he was around 3! So love that little slow bloomer and don't worry!

  14. Drilling rig!!! Is that the Gulf? Just curious....

  15. Yes it is!! Tons of them out here.

  16. I live north of Houston! Thought it looked like what you see in the Gulf!!!

  17. I am so sorry. I am sending you...and him a big hug.

  18. Ooooh! I understand!!! It is do hard. I'm sending you...a hug. 💕

  19. Awwwwww. Looks soooo sad. Okay...can we go get a puppucino, instead???
