"Footlong Pro"

Shows the Silver Award... and that's it.

It's local election season in the US! Make your voice heard in state and local elections.

  1. I'm trying to decide if we had enough RTS games made back in the early 00s to justify it as the craze before MMOs. Because there sure were a lot of them back then.

  2. It was a more civilized time.

  3. He can be super talented but still the wrong fit for the project.

  4. Oh thank Gaben, they updated the localization files! That was sorely needed after having been so long!

  5. I kinda hope AI will eventually kill grinding as a mechanic like that. If we get to a point where I can just tell my AI assistant to grind for something for me, maybe they'll finally stop putting grind in and make the game fun to play without being a Skinner box.

  6. Nope, the auto battler genre just means you have to leave the game running for that many more hours.

  7. I am here today…… asking the same question

  8. Greetings from the dystopian future, where people who seldom eat at Subway still have no idea what this means and have to continue this chain!

  9. They don't care, give me one example of someone going to prison for Nintendo ip. There is no ip police and the worst that could happen is you’d get a cease and desist. What about all these artist making starwars Disney files iron man and mando armor. They all either have a Patreon or the sell their files. Making money sitting around sculpting all day. I’d start with them if I were the ip police. It’s not that big of a deal.

  10. Just off the top of my head within the last few months: Gary Bowser.

  11. I got a my first real macro lens recently, and I’ve been dying to try it outside, but it’s just nonstop rain every day. So, I grabbed my hiking gear and trekked out to the mountains past the rain. Just below the snow line I finally found a good spot with some interesting fungus to shoot. I set up my tripod and a cheap $30 cube light nearby (

  12. Maybe the system that creates this divide should be changed?

  13. Big oof for the kiddo buff.

  14. I appreciate the line, but I do wish she had a couple more different lines about defending the console, for the sake of variety. Hearing the exact same line over and over again gets kinda tiresome.

  15. I just came back from a long break from Warframe.. What’s going on?!

  16. The New War is over. We're about the pile now.

  17. I don’t want to be human. I want to see gamma rays, I want to hear X-rays, and I want to smell dark matter. Do you see the absurdity of what I am? I can’t even express these things properly, because I have to—I have to conceptualize complex ideas in this stupid, limiting spoken language, but I know I want to reach out with something other than these prehensile paws, and feel the solar wind of a supernova flowing over me.

  18. In both situations, it's a physical object with intense emotional meaning behind it. You can't just replicate it. OF COURSE your wife is more important than a house, but the memento of those life events, joys, pains, triumphs, and struggles of life? What difference does that make if it's a brush or a building? The value there is not in a simulacrum.

  19. Honestly, in this hypothetical situation, if that were the only memento of my wife I had, yeah, I'd probably get a tetanus shot and go dumpster diving if I knew which dumpster it was. Would I spend months digging the trash in an unknown location? No, and I'm walking away from my house too for that same unknown.

  20. Every change you're bringing to Void Sling brings it closer to Void Dash's original design. Could you explain why we don't have the option to do both? Many threads have proposed keeping Void Sling via double jump, and Void Dash using the crouch & jump input from before. This seems like it achieves the goals of both sides of the argument.

  21. Phil Spencer wasn’t in charge of Xbox when they named them Xbox One. That was this

  22. Well, to be fair, they already had a console for people who liked larger numbers for successor consoles: the 360.

  23. New SuperWiiSwitchUAdvancedBoyEntertainmentSystem64i XL

  24. I still remember when I first saw a Halo game. Had a family friend who had the first two and he let me borrow them since he knew I was interested. He ended up buying Halo 3 for me on Christmas and having played all three was just fun.

  25. When you first saw Halo... were you blinded by its majesty?

  26. Tbh I hated void dash. That was a clunky, unintuitive skill yeeting you in a group of enemies.

  27. I was shooting around the map faster than Titania with Void Dash. Once you got a hold of it, you'd be precision dashing exactly where you wanted to go. I constantly miss my targets with Sling, and I'm finding it easier to just barrel jump around in my frame than get out the kiddo. It's so much less fluid that it removes one of the core selling points of the gameplay loop to me - namely the extremely fluid and fast movement.

  28. I don't ever recall using words/phrases like "fuck us in the ass", "evil", "mindless". I suggest you look inward for toxicity.

  29. I've never been more sad that

  30. Yeah, but where do you think he gets the cake from? The real reason Ol’ Alby is scared of him is that he tried to take his cake. If one wishes to obtain something, something of equal value must be given. This is the law of equivalent exchange, the basis of all baking. There is a taboo among bakers. Human cakumation is strictly forbidden, FOR WHAT COULD EQUAL THE VALUE OF HUMAN CAKE? Is it really worth it, can you really live with yourselves if you allow him to give things cake at the cost of your own fellow man’s cake?

  31. Found out you can do this with the knife too. So I put them on display here in the kitchen.

  32. That's not a knife, that's a spoon!

  33. How will this affect T H E - C O N C L A V E?

  34. They had a chance to fix it when they introduced the change in a dev workshop and the player feedback was resoundingly negative.
