  1. Congrats three days sounds like years😭 I slipped up yesterday and I'm so embarrassed

  2. I know the feeling. All you have to do is not drink today. Slips can happen but it’s important that we learn from them. I justified smoking pot because I got a dr prescription. I did this for a year. And then picked up another substance. Just had some consequences by way of a job loss and realized I was only my bullshitting myself.

  3. I’m not into trading one drug for another but I do know people who have gotten sober and clean via subs. You will have wd at some point as there are no free rides. I took subs for a year and jumped off them at .5. The wd was so bad I was using percs to get through the sub wd. Bassackwards. I’m currently on day 3 of wd from Kratom and I’d take the wd from Kratom over the wd from subs. Just my experience.

  4. I worked for XPO for 2 years as a broker. A culture of dishonesty and deceit. The company has zero ethics.

  5. Only the individual can diagnose themself. Telling someone they are not an addict because of x,y, and z is dangerous. Also, diagnosing someone else as an addict because of x,y, and z is equally as dangerous. It’s up to the individual to be honest with themselves.

  6. I am not telling anyone they are anything. Simply stating the difference between the two.

  7. I’m not telling you, you are telling people anything. Easy on the defensiveness

  8. Jump. You do it by not taking anymore. I’m on day 2, CT from a 4 month run of 25gpd. Sucks but tolerable. Just jump

  9. I’m coming off 4 months of 25gpd. Took magnesium yesterday and had no RLS last night. Was able to sleep all night.

  10. I found a local vendor with quality product. About a $1.50 for a 10 g dose. Feels just like a shot. Anyway, I’m on day 2 of no pot no Kratom. However, between pot and Kratom I was spending over a g a month. It will be nice to have that money back in my pocket. But I am seeking sanity and happiness without chemicals, even if they are free.

  11. My experience with PAWS tends to manifest after the pink cloud phase. It’s just the pendulum swinging back. It will go back the other way and then return but less intense each time. Exercise helps with paws too

  12. Google AA leads. You’ll find leads from circuit speakers there

  13. If you take it for pain and as prescribed, you will not wd. If you start abusing it, you will.

  14. I’m an alcoholic in recovery, haven’t drank but after 100 days of sobriety I started smoking pot, then the pot wasn’t enough so I got a Kratom habit. I am an alcoholic and an addict and cannot have any mind altering substances if I expect to get well. Tried just using the “softer” stuff but I am not recovering and the consequences are continuing. For me, I have realized, it’s all or nothing.

  15. Depression took me back out. I’m on day 1 dealing with it acutely but I KNOW it gets better. Hang in there.

  16. I’m on day 1 and threw everything out yesterday. I’m trying to get where you are. Keep it up.

  17. Awesome job, I was the same way when I first got sober in regards to the pot and kratom. The funny thing is that they really weren't doing anything for me (high tolerance), I still just wanted to rely on some kind of substance to help pull me through the day.

  18. Yeah, it’s like pot was my security blanket and then decided to add Kratom because it makes me a more productive. Same shit as before. Your right, it’s like I e to have some sort of substance. Gonna reach for the program and the fellowship rather than a joint and dirt. Also, thank you for sharing the other sub, I just followed it. I went to a MA meeting online a while back and really liked it too. Gonna continue going to A.A. but I think I’m gonna mix some MA in early on.

  19. Hi Adam, glad you are back. I can relate since I did nearly the same thing. It also led me back to the rooms. I identify as an alcoholic but loved drugs. For me it made no difference since I changed my drug of choice several times through my story. It made no difference since all that was just my solution to my real problem and I always ended up back in the same place. Before relapse I made a lot of meetings and wondered why it didnt work. I was dry and I never really worked through the steps honestly and willing and with an open mind. Keep coming back, it works if you work it. I never worked it though I was just a meeting maker and I've since learned that doesn't cut it for me. I did keep coming back though and was always welcomed until I was ready. You're not alone and we are glad you're here.

  20. I actually tried to work this thing without being sober. “Tried” being the key word. My desire to drink was removed but other than that, nothing has really changed. I’m tired of living that way and owe it to myself to give this program a real chance. I appreciate your support. I’m ready to do the work.

  21. I’m on day one too. Just jumped off 25 gpd for 4 months, CT. Keep it up.
