1. This is really inspiring, I’m glad to hear you found success with it. These success stories are making me feel more and more and inspired. I truly appreciate your advice and hearing about your experience, thank you!

  2. Wow I cannot thank you enough for this advice. Now I am even more inspired! I love the comparison to driving a car and how you learn much more in the role, that makes a lot of sense and helps me know what to expect. Thank you very much for taking the time to write this out

  3. Id test the market to determine what your alternatives are if they decide against a decent raise. Simultaneously, Id try to quantify the incremental value you create vs your current companies next best alternative. IE if they let you go and promoted someone on your team, how much $ would they lose. Between these 2 data points, you should have ample leverage for a significant pay bump. Honestly, sounds like you should be making $100k+

  4. Thank you so much for the advice! I’ll work on putting that together today. By testing the market, do you mean apply elsewhere? Or just look into it? This probably deserve a separate post, but I struggle with knowing what other types of positions match my skillset

  5. You could as part of the conversation. It could be a casual thing... next time you have a mtg w your manager you can ask at the end... oh hey I meant to ask, I know you’re looking into then promotion for me, any idea what type of compensation change I could expect?

  6. That’s great advice and it sounds silly but I hadn’t even though of that!! Thanks so much!
