So- pretty much every house I’ve ever renovated has had a black and white colour scheme throughout… and those are my kitchen counters, so I don’t hate this space… lol. I think it’s better than the first one.
hey definitely not the guillemots - those guys are solid black except for the white wing patches, and your lads here have white on their heads. They’re also TINY, like smaller than a potato tiny.

I’m not sure where you are specifically, but here on the oregon coast right now we see these guys hanging out with several other cool species: surf scoter ducks, bufflehead ducks, honestly many different ducks, loons in winter plumage (they’re beautiful!), grebes, egrets, herons and tons of cormorants. I think I’ve also seen American wigeon ducks, pintail ducks and merganser ducks.
I’m up the coast from you on Vancouver Island. Since moving out of a condo and into a house surrounded by mature trees I’ve really enjoyed watching the local birds. We get a ton of herons up here and lately, Oyster Catchers. I always thought ducks were only fresh water- I’ve been learning so much! Aside from Merlin, which I’ve now downloaded, any good sources you’d recommend??
Faye wants what’s best for the guest when it suits her… at the start of the season there were the guests who wanted to dine outside after Faye set the table inside… she was upset and gave the guests attitude. Were the guests unpleasant? Absolutely. But she could have concealed her disdain and frustration better.

She quit. She had posted a video about it - the school did not approve of some of the content she posted. It sounded like the school over reacted - she eventually left her position because of it.
She actually got fired for posting her unfiltered hot take on a super attractive actor, accounting exactly what she would do to him. Her principal saw it, and fired her.
