As said before, she’s willing to make herself look black and hire black dancers and actors and steal from black artists (the video and song is basically P Diddy’s ‘Bad Boys For Life’) and act like she’s in a black neighbourhood but when it comes to actually supporting Black Lives Matter, her black bandmate (and her documentary) and listening to her black fans she plays tone deaf and turns the other cheek.

It had been brewing for a long time but basically the drama peaked on the Sweet Melody video shoot when Jesy showed up as dark as Leigh Anne (who had spent the summer doing a racism documentary that Jesy didn’t acknowledge) and they had an argument and Jesy quit. Apparently Leigh had talked to her many times about her skin colour and it had fallen on deaf ears. Jesy left the group during a crazy time period (they were filming a live BBC One Saturday night talent show, performing at the EMA’s, Jonathan Ross and Strictly, releasing an album and multiple singles) which meant the other three had to frantically change their choreography and lines to cover her absence and pretend she was off sick when in reality she had stormed out after a screaming match and then blocked everyone.
