  1. Move the lead foot forward about 10-15 cm

  2. As others have said, a video's more meaningful, but here goes nothing. I haven't trained in Shotokan, but it looks dubious to me from a general martial arts perspective:

  3. Actually pretty good, a bit more hip rotation in the first sequence of the Age Uki into Yaku Zuki would look better. Also in the overhead block following into the 3 strike thing (can’t remember the names) Overall it’s at a very decent level

  4. Kihon is fine. There were a couple times where you messed the back foot in kokutsu-dachi, take care of that little detail. Also, check your feet in kiba-dachi stance, they should be parallel to each other.

  5. Thanks a lot for the tips...will definitely work on all the things you and everyone else has said.. Oss! -JKA South Africa

  6. Seems like you stood slightly off-center to the left based on the matt. Not by loads but a little bit.

  7. Thanks a lot...yes in Shotokan the closer you are to where you started the better...don't know what was up with the referee that was of centre lol....but thanks I came 8th in my country so I am proud of myself!

  8. I believe that may be verging on the edge of possibly being a bit of a no-ball.

  9. Worst one was probably a waist high full toss outside off from a spinner that I somehow slapped straight up in the air

  10. Yes of course! I got myself out a lot more than good bowling got me out. I’d have to fume about it for a week until the next game and I could get myself out stupidly in that game and fixate on that dismissal instead…picking out mid wicket right into his hands off a full toss being particularly bad

  11. Exciting! Love tournaments, I have one coming up on the second of April, I'm pumped to get back into it since COVID made it difficult for so long. The only way to grow is to test your abilities in different environments, keep it up.

  12. Thats impressive you can do those competitions. I would be too nervous to do anything in front of those people. Congratulations

  13. Can't see it...bit if it is the forgotten kata it must be "Jin" I think the spelling is incorrect but somenthing among those lines

  14. Iain O'Brien always seemed like a cool dude on the field. Guess that translated well

  15. That one there was a violation, personally I wouldn't have it....
