The impossible task of explaining to someone not from the UK how it is one country made up of four countries, with one government that is actually 4 governments and can separately be called: Britain, Great Britain, the United Kingdom, The UK, The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

This is really good advice. I used to do that, but have got much better now. Have to keep it front of mind though. Very clearly written as well, hope lots of people see this response :)
Depends. My goal with handwriting is usually to capture something as quickly as possible for myself to review later, rather than to make it clearer for others.
Try telling them about the City of London, which is a city within a city, within a country within a country... 🤯
