Another poster mentioned him, but honestly Lowell Shaw has some of the most comfortable to play transcriptions for the horn. He has an incredible talent of balancing the load to lift for each player, knowing where in the music to expertly place rests for endurance purposes and not overloading any one player for any particular part. He definitely spreads the wealth as it pertains to his arrangements/compositions/transcriptions. If you're looking for sheer playability, look to his works. He has arrangements for easy tunes all the way up to collegiate/professional difficulty and there's nary a bad one in the lot.
Oh - and the music from Titanic is probably one of the most challenging and well-arranged pieces for large horn choir I've had the pleasure of listening to/performing. That's a good demo, as well.
