Oh absolutely. I waited until they forced me to. As I was getting the shot, I felt like such a sell out. Like I was abandoning my morals and giving up on everything I have stood for the last two years. But this internship gives me 100% job placement within the firm after I graduate in May, and job security is so important to me. But I feel so violated knowing I was forced to get it.

Currently home school my kids. School day is 4 hours long. 9am to 1pm....with a 30min lunch. Basically 1150-1220 lunch with a wind down at the end.The kindergarten/1st grade have multiple 10 min recess to play outside and are also learning Latin roots for English and are doing thousands place adding/subtracting with a introduction to basic multiplication. Kids are currently learning Latin roots for English. At prealgebra for math and learning earth science with applicable physics models for oceanography. Oldest age of kid is 13. So I agree with OP I just want to point out that there is an alternative. I will stress that it is not easy and that you have to form very good habits right from the get go.
I was homeschooled K-12 and it served me well. I was light years ahead of my peers when we graduated and started college. Scored in the 99th percentile on my ACT and got into one of the best accounting programs in the nation on a full ride scholarship. And my social life never suffered either (I know many folks believe homeschooled kids are weird and awkward) - made lots of friends through sports and other extracurriculars so the transition to college was easy! My parents sacrificed a lot to raise 4 children on a single income so my mom could stay at home and educate us there, but they knew the public school system is deeply flawed and took matters into their own hands.

He is the best! He is a miracle cat. Mauled by a dog at 8 weeks when we found him in a ditch and now he’s almost two! He did sustain some major spinal injuries and now has luxating patella in both knees so he has some difficulty walking and jumping but we are saving for surgery soon! He is such a special boy. I love him!
