My baseline for understanding is mental health professionals have an ethical choice of conduct and that's a very big deal. When I read posts and comments on these threads I recognize that I'm only reading a portion of a specific perspective. This isn't to discount actual feelings or experiences; I'm just aware I don't have all the information.

This entire thread. The post, the comments...all of it. Share this with your therapist. Quite literally open Reddit to this post, hand the phone to the therapist and sour there and be quiet as he reads through it. Then you can have your starting point and purpose for the therapy clearly stated and your therapist will have an understanding with your struggles and how to approach you in a meaningful and educated manner.
