‘Please tell me what I should be saying.’ Text messages show Sen. Mike Lee assisting Trump efforts to overturn 2020 election. Newly released text messages show Lee knew of scheme to send alternate electors to Congress nearly a month earlier than he claimed.

OBJECTION!

40% of teen pregnancies in 15 y/o girls involve a fathering man who is 20-29. Why are the conversations surrounding teen pregnancy always about the promiscuity of teenage girls and not the violence of older men?

I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.

  1. Without adding that in warfare mode, they get instantly nuked by CS

  2. Playing renegade in any mode is a huge flex, but at least in warfare you can steal some semblance of a base from someone. Considering they start in a shack with no trader, no barkeep, and not even a dirty mattress to sleep on, usurping CS with a cobbled together army of cigarette smoking track pants enthusiasts with broken guns is a pretty epic experience.

  3. No idea, if I was an ecologist I’d buy my food at agroprom, their base doesn’t get blown up by snorks, if the military hates me I’d cook up some chops at the Hunter lodge. Unless you don’t mind eating snorks in which case you can become the new chef of Yantar.

  4. People didn’t have all these damn health problems when they only lived to 40!

  5. It’s a common misconception that periods of history with low average life spans means everyone was dying in middle age. Infant mortality was staggeringly high and throws off the numbers. If you made it to 40 in the ancient world you would very likely make it to 60 or 70. Obviously without modern medicine your odds of making it through your 70s and 80s was much lower than it is today, but the age at which many of the elderly died wasn’t as far away from modern norms as you might think.

  6. If would vary a lot based on whether you start tracking at birth or with those who survive to adulthood. I think for the last thousand years or so if you start at 21 your median is 60-70.

  7. You can’t, that’s fine. Others can. Do what works for you.

  8. This ammo is best utilized by UNISG as you have four traders to buy it from instead of one or two. It’s fairly rare so waiting on the freedom guy to restock isn’t really sustainable. Without Maus, your options are Merc traders in Dead City and Jupiter, and the freedom base.

  9. Orrrr maybe humans don't understand as much as they think they do about the situation

  10. I suspect they understand more about the situation than the dead penguin.

  11. That area is surprisingly weird in Anomaly. Sometimes it's absolutely quiet, other times it's a death trap. But those Sin weirdos tend to pop up even after you cleared the whole place up. The rewards are good though, lots of nice artifacts to be found and some good loot on the bodies.

  12. The forest is the one area I absolutely dread going. Every time I think, last time was a fluke, nothing bad will happen this time, and each time some fresh hell awaits.

  13. As a democracy what the fuck do we do when a significant portion of the electorate refuses to play fair or punish unfairness?

  14. Depends how significant of a portion. If a controlling percentage of the democracy doesn’t want a democracy then guess what, you don’t have a democracy.

  15. The biggest difference is Democrats are NOT sore losers that attempt to overthrow presidential elections with illegal treasonous actions.

  16. Hanging people for treason is really the last thing you want to be doing if you think democracy is threatened. Not a great precedent if you lose the battle

  17. Because education will only influence one side of that statistic and it’s not the older males.

  18. Humans are literally the only things in the universe capable of evil.

  19. What’s the difference between a person reveling in violence and a cat playing with its food?

  20. A person is capable of being aware that the victim is also a sentient being.

  21. Many psychologists would argue that the people who are best at killing or most likely to do evil things are not capable of conceptualizing exactly that. So does evil require the intent to be evil, or is it evil as evidenced by the consequences of the act? If it requires empathy or acknowledgment of the victim as an equal, many humans do not meet that criteria, and if it simply requires an evil consequence, many animals do meet that criteria.

  22. What I found really strange about this movie was how people didn't get that it was making fun of conservatives and liberals. I thought it was clear that the jab at liberals was that they are so flexible with their ideology that they aren't faithful to anything. Then the making fun of conservatives that they are lemmings that just follow each other

  23. I think most people got that. What was so insufferable about it is that it was both satirical and self-important, which adds up to pretentious. Its ideology was just as useless as those it thought it was lampooning.

  24. So, sometimes I’ll say this as a perspective… he is 25…. Ok say five years ok you were…

  25. Treat a sixteen year old like they’re eleven and find out what’s different.

  26. I think it feels weak because its main purposes (ad clear and group control) are trivially easy to do with volatile rounds or a number of exotic weapons. There's just no point in using a super for ad clear these days.

  27. I really don’t understand that approach. There should have been a special overload option this time.

  28. If your have weaken on your overload grenades it’s a pretty easy one shot, same functionality as special overload imo, they aren’t frequent enough for the cooldown to hold you back.

  29. For the benefit of someone who isn't a doctor. How does contracting a disease result in a phobia?

  30. Rabies causes a person to spasm when they try to swallow. They can’t drink water and thinking about drinking makes them nervous and being nervous often makes a person swallow so it becomes a situation where water anywhere near them is bad.

  31. Most illegal things are illegal because a form of repremand is the only thing stopping a large percentage of people from doing it. That's why the laws were made in the first place, to correct a problem.

  32. A small percentage can still create a large problem. Murder isn’t illegal because everyone would do it.

  33. Massive failure of management: that small of an impact should not have caused the whole lot to come down, so it must have been way under specified for the load it was carrying.

  34. I’ve seen a lot of racking that’s assembled incorrectly, so it could have more to do with that than the weight.

  35. Assembled incorrectly is also a management failure and "out of spec" is as good as "under-specified".

  36. One major thing people should note, with any trailer released well before a movie or shows premiere, is that the special effects/cgi is not finished. As time goes on, new trailers will be released with updated effects which will also sometimes influence what is shown plot-wise in the trailer.

  37. It’s a trailer, they just had to briefly impress and they shit the bed. It’s not going to look any better, it’s just going to be longer.

  38. Nah bruh youre wrong, wanna go at this all day or actually write a meaningful response? Youre old enough to use the internet so id imagine you can come up with a better reply than a pre-school child.

  39. '(elephant and dolphins are extremely smart, but don’t have the bodies for tools and fire)'

  40. Elephants need Kevlar, but they have begun none of the industrialization needed to produce it.

  41. Its so amazing how much footage exists which proves that animals do have an emotional intelligence and are able to be compassionate and empathic. Without borders of species or origin.

  42. For any footage of interspecies maternal care like this you can find some of a mother cannibalizing her young. Pregnancy and birth involve a hurricane of hormones that sometimes produce unexpected results, but the idea that this behavior is evidence of highly developed intelligence or compassion is pure conjecture.

  43. The study is talking about a couple dozen cases. You are comparing this to a virus that has killed millions of people and done trillions in damage.

  44. Wrong, its not a comparison. I’m saying that if the CDC had any reason to believe this suggestion would do more harm than good they would not have put it forth. If you think otherwise, back it up with data or at least credentials.

  45. I don't follow. Your original comment is in response to someone saying the vaccine is safe statistically, to which you responded well "COVID is also safe statistically."

  46. Not in my opinion, they are both unlikely to put you in danger, but that doesn’t mean it’s wise to resist simple measures to put yourself and others at less risk.

  47. All of the characters are idiots or insufferable.

  48. Fix it and every other goddamn broken or worn thing of the infrastructure in the country and stop bullshiting about money; proving yet anew how capitalism kills people. Arrest all Republicans for crimes against humanity. (Not the 10 who voted to impeach Trump) Remember that last bridge in Minneapolis a few years ago? Before they began executing black folks by torture in public? We could be in for an epidemic of bridge collapses.

  49. I think you might have to choose either the infrastructure thing or the arrest half the country for crimes against humanity thing, both is going to be a hard sell even without bullshitting about money.

  50. They could if they went with the nuclear option. They want the territories and things work better if you avoid having to skirt around nuclear wastelands.

  51. Modern nuclear weapons aren’t that radioactive. Nuclear wastelands are pretty much out of the equation.
