The universe might be a self learning machine that is run by higher dimensional beings and gets complex as time passes (due to the fact that entropy always increases in the universe). We could just be part of a never ending dimensional heirarchy. What could a colony of bacteria be thinking right now? They must show some sign of intelligence that we can comprehend, right? What if this covid pandemic is just a microbial civillisation advancing to such a level to inflict serious damage on humans (higher dimensional beings to them). Maybe i am just rambling here but i find it fascinating and depressing at the same time that there could be beings in higher dimensions looking at us and studying our activity.
