Omg is this a pug? I have one and they are SO LOUD! So cute, this is the kind of attendee I want in my classes../
I’m not sure! He might be a pug mixed with French bulldog. But yes, that nonexistent snout causes some loud breathing/snoring. Though not enough to be a distraction so I was fine with him there.
I wish I could have this problem. Dogs aren’t allowed on our campus, except for service animals and properly documented ESAs.
I’m pretty sure dogs aren’t allowed on my campus either, but I’m not going to enforce that rule. Not my pig, not my farm. So long as the dog behaves, it’s fine w me!
What a coincidence. The same thing just happened to me. I’m still quite shaken up. As far as I can tell, the allegations have no merit and were designed to be maximally hurtful. But how to cope? I’m all agitated now.
Me too. The comment started with “Respectfully, I hated this teacher” before lying about my grading.
And especially with something like this, even if they were just repeating what Pest told them, is he a reliable source? He obviously has some fucked up perversions, and it wouldn't surprise me if he made something up just to feel like he'd done something great.
Wasn’t the AMA done by Anna’s friend? That makes me think Anna would’ve been the one who told the her about what happened.
You're correct. But is Anna an honest narrator either?
True, but I’m thinking about the context of that conversation. It would’ve been a conversation between two friends, so why would Anna lie to her friend in that moment? Especially about something as gross as this?
Literally says it was too old to pull carriage. They have laws to protect the horses and this one died not because of the handlers, but because a selfish breeder lied.
Looks like the laws didn’t matter. Just like a slave, these slave owners will work the horse until it dies. Glad you agree.
It was old and had health problems. Maybe the controllers shoulda paid attention a little better but it was thought to be a young horse when it was really an old one that had health problems. It’s the owner that’s to blame. I’ve seen handlers around horses. They don’t treat them like dumb animals. More talking to them like they’re their kids and don’t work them hard or anything
Funny how she's going to shit on Bill Gothard (which he deserves) but probably won't say boo about how JB upheld all the man's beliefs and would probably bend over backward to defend Bill's sexual abuse just like Boob did for his own shitbag son.
That’s what I was thinking. She talks about how she hopes to help those who have been harmed by religious leaders. How can she separate herself from harmful religious leaders without talking about her horrible upbringing?

It’s only a matter of time before some detective snarker on here figures it out 😂
I found it, but I’m not sure I’m allowed to post the address. It was sold in August in Santa Clarita, CA
That was fast! But yes price range please!!
Example: “ok so i will have to do all the assignments over because the last assignment the decision i thoight that was the question because i had do example up there but what do i do to get me a better grade?”
Yeah, I never said anything about him being nice, neither does the Bible, anywhere. As my old professor used to say, God is not a tame lion.
That’s super interesting. Where does the idea that god is omnibenevolent come from then?
Thought you meant (Abe) Lincoln for a second.
Why would someone be talking about Abe Lincoln in a thread about Shinzo Abe?
Agreed. We need serious police reform, which would require more funding for better training and more officers, not more gear.
40% of the city’s taxes were going to this police department. How much more funding do they need? 60%? 80%?
Its so weird to me. we have crazy inflation and the highest gas prices ive ever seen...yet we still have crazy high consuming (stores are always packed it seems), and there will be an all time high record amount of drivers come this memorial weekend (per our state/local news)..so if people are struggling, how can we afford to travel, and vacation like we are? Most people I know are living as nothing is different and prices of things don't effect any of their lifestyles. I know people traveling abroad to go watch NFL teams in Europe...like, I don't think its as bad as ppl paint it to be.
if people are struggling, how can we afford to travel, and vacation like we are?
Well, if it affects other species, fewer dogs. And pandas. And penguins. And a bunch of other species that aren’t responsible for fucking up the world. That would suck.
Fewer dogs is a good outcome. Do you know how many dogs suffer and die in animal shelters or on the streets every single day?
Everyone in the class....
We had snow in the forecast last Wednesday. At 7:00pm the university cancels classes. I get an email from a student at 7:07pm: “So everyone in the class is wondering what the plan is for tomorrow with the snow and all.”
Everything happens because of a cause. 'Reason', to me, implies that there's some kind of 'goal' the whole universe moves towards. I think there's no goal, just a source. So yeah, things don't happen for a reason, but they do happen with a cause.
I think the phrase “everything happens for a reason” comes from a philosophical principle called ‘the principle of sufficient reason’. Leibniz, a 17th-18th century philosopher, was the first to discuss this principle. When he spoke of reasons, he was mostly talking about causation.
They're boomers, they think we've still only got 3 news network. And no one will remember what they said last year. They can't grasp the amount of information and speed with which it can be attained. I can Google a congresspersons name and 'police reform'. And in half a second I'll get everything they've ever said about it for the past 30 years.
My millennial friends all voted for Biden. They were all pissed at me for not voting. Said nOt VoTiNg Is A vOtE fOr TrUmP. They filled the streets to protest the police, and they filled the streets to celebrate Biden’s victory. Boomers aren’t the only naive idiots.
Imagine being able to work on old scoreboards after finishing the current one, it think it would be great publicity if nothing else (and probably not that much work).
I would pay money/atoms to play the old scoreboards. I really want that giant sheepsquash plushie. I’m level 98 rn so I have plenty of time to do it.
I think a lot of people are missing the point with this movie, everyone is talking about how on the nose and obvious it is but fail to see that the film criticizes pretty much everyone, not just the right.
I also think the entire cast in the movie is playing the same role as Ariana did in the movie. In the movie, they tried to use Ariana to spread the message about the comet w entertainment (her song). Irl Leo, Jennifer, etc are using entertainment (the movie) to spread the message about climate change. Unfortunately I think this movie is going to do just as well as the song did at achieving that goal.
I just watched it. I thought it was excellent, but it doesn't hold back. It's a strong criticism of western culture, and if you are a mainstream "normie" kind of person, you aren't going to react well to it. It pretty much makes the average person look in the mirror and see themselves as vapid and moronic. The bad reviews are quite fitting actually, as they reflect the narrative of the movie.
I read a negative review that said something like “end of the world movies are supposed to be more fun” and I immediately thought of the scene when Jennifer Lawrence’s character is doing the first tv interview and says something like “maybe not everything is supposed to be fun”.
End of the world movies are supposed to be fun? One of the best, These Final Hours, is the least fun movie you're likely to see. It's also about a comet but it's already hit the earth and the final hours before the shockwave hits Australia.
Right? The reviewer was literally parroting the tv anchors in the movie. A review so ironic that it almost seems scripted.

Lol idk if thats supposed to be a broke joke but i make 6figs.....i love my job and love extra money 🤷♀️
Not a joke, just an inference — whether or not you’re broke is irrelevant
What? If she’s sucked a lemon her reaction would have been the same.
You think she would’ve gone back for more lemon? After her reaction here she goes back for another sip.
Or the classic, "seen it once and now every beach has somebody filming you".
And now the straw man. No one is said “I saw it once therefore it happens everywhere”. There are tons of these kinds of videos online, and most likely more of these videos that never make it online. There are tons of testimony from women who say they’ve caught people filming them without their consent. But “you haven’t seen it therefore it doesn’t happen”, right?
Wow you are really smart! Thats why you have doctor and phd in your username. Makes it even more amusing how stupid your own reasoning is while judging others. I could write an entire essay back about how wrong you are but honestly not worth my time.
And for the last act: the ad hominem. Oh how predictable. Incapable of responding directly to my position.

Hard facts? Where are your sources bro?
What major guarantees pay anymore? I know computer science majors and engineer majors that can’t find well paying jobs. A college degree, even the “right” major, no longer means as much as it used to.
