  1. I don't like bean sprouts in my stirfry, but I respect others rights to enjoy them in their own meals.. Each to their own.

  2. The Aguilar tone hammer heads are incredible. I've got a 500, but you can go higher in power

  3. I've got an idea for the blank spot!

  4. Aside from the fact that I can't confirm the text myself, headlines like this are why I had to eventually unsubscribe from

  5. I was taught to avoid stretching much and instead learn to shift my entire hand while keeping it loose, even if it's just within the first 4 frets. That has worked very well for me and now my hand does these micro shifts without me thinking about it. My fingers stay more or less on a shape that doesn't change very much.

  6. Yea the Torah was given to Jews but from it are instructions for all humanity

  7. Are Jews the mouthpiece for God to all the nations, meant to interpret and deliver God's rules to everyone?

  8. What are some examples of how Jews have been giving the messages and laws of the Torah to other nations? Are there any historical accounts of that happening?

  9. This guy is a symptom of an antisemitic church and doctrine, not some wayward anomaly. Could we put the whole church on hold until 2030?

  10. The church itself published a document a couple years ago asking for Americans to repent for their sins of the past that led to antisemitism and the attitudes that enabled the Holocaust.

  11. Minor Dorian, pentatonic, major, mixolydian, and harmonic minor b9. Somehow those all just feel right from wherever I'm on the fretboard.

  12. I've been transcribing a lot over the past couple months, and then recording the bass lines for a group I'm playing with. I've been trying to learn more rock and pop tunes because I used to focus solely on jazz and fusion stuff with really gnarly chord structure and harmony. Here are the fun songs I've transcribed for bass and recorded over the past few weeks:

  13. I had a vasectomy done after our second child. We both didn't want more kids, and everything seemed to be better when my wife was not on birth control, so it seemed like a good idea to me. I'm still happy with the decision 8 years later.

  14. As a Jew, I think it's absurd if I'm being generous and assuming good intentions. Imagine the situation reversed and you learned that all Jews keep a caricature of a stereotypical "Polish Idiot" to bring good luck to the household?

  16. Hire a teacher to show you what you need to practice, and then practice a lot.

  17. I just had 5 tacos for $10 at El Legendario for their Tuesday special. It was the best.

  18. Washington. Nothing, everyone gets it exactly right. Please stay away.

  19. After much vigorous discussion it's clear that there's too much friction between the different schools of thought, and we end up in a sticky situation trying to sort it all out.

  20. A hard, but sensitive situation that needs some real hand-holding to come out on top.

  21. I bought my first house in Seattle when I was 35. Tech job, wife also working full-time, had about 50k saved for it. Had to move in my mother-in-law, though, because she contributed most of the down-payment and she lived with us for another 5 years until we moved again. Also took a large loan from my parents (through their bank) that I paid off over the next few years. Also took a loan from my 401k that I finally paid off.

  22. Beyond fingering and slapping, have you tried talking dirty?

  23. I know it's not the point, but still: cnn משקר.

  24. It's almost the same. When I have to leave for work during the day I lock both my kids in their cages, but I just make sure they have enough food and water in their bowls. Everything else pretty much takes care of itself. When they die after a few years I just bury them in the backyard and get another one. /s

  25. "let me ask my wife before I get back to you. Did you say Wednesday? No, kids have soccer practice. Oh, ugh Thursday is booked, too. Oh shit, actually this whole weekend, and then we're out next weekend visiting grandparents. How about early June? No? Wait! Where are you going?!?"

  26. Haha it always is. This thread reminds me of an interview Michael Scott was in.

  27. I have three of those and they're all plumbing access.
