I love my white keds! I have a size 11 shoe size so I find that they make my feet look smaller. They have an ortholite lining that feels cushy too. Great white sneaker, but not so great for the rain!
I don’t know if this will make sense but I’ll shoot my shot. I’m an SD and a lot of my favorite looks include long vertical lines with rounded squoval type edges. I like to mimic those details with my accessories- so larger ornate earrings, long necklaces with oval pendants, etc. That being said, I like my bag to mirror the style of the outfit, so I like bags with long straps, and big pouchy bags with that squoval shape.
I’m and SD and I love FN style- especially blazers/jeans/model off duty AND boho chic. I can work with a less stiff blazer in a longer cut to work with the first. For the second, I look for boho patterns in more flattering cuts…I try to work in fringe or ruffles, and I do boho jewelry but sized up to look more proportional.
I was told not to mix black and brown when I was younger, but I’ve been having fun doing exactly that! This is a black stretchy ribbed dress from H&M, and a cropped sweater from there maybe 2 years ago. The belt was my mom’s, and the shoes are from target. I’m young and broke (I tell myself it’s character building) so I like to share when I can pull something together on a budget! Let me know whatcha think :)
Thank you! I was going to pair it with a wool wrap skirt instead but it was kind of tight and the party I’m going to will be catered by my favorite taco place in the city. Needless to say the ribbed dress has give 😅

We all have different levels of dressiness in our repertoire and that's all part of the style process. like when the R+D celebrities go on the red carpet, it doesn't mean they're no longer R+D. look at someone like Brie Larson or Kristen Bell (probable explorers?)
Your insight is so appreciated, thank you! I purchased both the R + D and R + U look books and I feel much more comfortable in exploring R + U… I’m in my mid twenties and I think I’ve been hesitant to come across as “too much” so I’ve tried to downplay it. As I am maturing I’m starting to feel comfortable taking up space.
To clarify—this is not how I dress in day-to-day life. I had an occasion that demanded “dressy casual but also serve the look” and this was my interpretation of that assignment.
I can relate with having broader shoulders as an SD and being uncertain about my type! I always get exactly half SD and half FN, and have had people literally dm me about how I am CERTAINLY one or the other to them. I'm broad and not as fleshy and I have a dominant natural essence, but SD style recs nearly ALWAYS look better than FN. Hardly any FN recs look good on me, they all make me look frumpy and crusty. Literally, Style Thoughts by Rita typed me herself as FN, but it just doesn't work!! Off shoulder tops are absolutely a go-to, looove them so much
You know what you feel good in and what you don’t. And bodies live in 3 dimensions, not 2, so photos are hard. Its cool that you know what you like and are rocking with it!
Whatever it is I love it
…are you…looking at me rn? This was spot on for me

I looove this
Our SD queen
Could someone forward me to more info about Olga essence? I’ve never heard of it!

This is a great outfit. It looks casual and sophisticated. You can really rock these long lines!

It’s giving babadook but I’m about it
I love keds. They have an ortholite lining and have a very simple outline. I live in them throughout the summer
I love her makeup, the eye emphasis is so beautiful

Update: I’m R+U oops
Also wondering where you bought…everything! Needless to say I think you nailed it!

And this is why I always end up wearing all black! It just looks...better!
I hear that!
