  1. Yes!!! I have really bad insulin resistance. Hyperinsulinemia to be specific. I can’t sleep as well at all without melatonin on the days I eat. But I am knocked out the nights where I haven’t eaten in over a day.

  2. If it fits in your macros then it’s fine. I have noticed when I have it (when it fits in the macros) I get puffy for a few days and my hunger tends to rev up

  3. I’m 27 and I have definitely noticed a difference since taking it. I have way more mental clarity and physical staminate than before. I think I have aged my body from previous life style choices and so that is why I am personally benefiting from it.

  5. You will reach high autophagy levels without the laxative. I think the laxative will deplete you of your electrolytes and make the 4 day fast super difficult. I don’t think you should do it.

  6. Autophagy! I want to gain the benefits of my body repairing damaged DNA cells. Even though I don’t know what damaged cells I have specifically, I like the idea of them being repaired🤷‍♀️ or even possibly preventing certain diseases

  7. You are being way too hard on yourself. You will break fasts in your future of fasting no matter the reason. Whether you felt like you needed to eat or you just wanted to eat. Both valid reasons. You’ll have another fast someday. And another. None of which are unsuccessful fasts. They are just fasts.

  8. My skin went through a breakout phase when I first started doing more long term fasts. I think it’s just a purging phase (just a guess based off what happened to me, I don’t have any science/data to show you behind this)

  9. I had thinning hair that was always falling out. It eventually became super patchy looking. I found out my reason for the hair loss was due to having high levels of insulin in my body. I switched to a low carb/keto diet and this resolved within a year.

  10. It depends how blonde you go. If it’s close to platinum, yes some hair is bound to break off. It also depends on the current condition of your hair. Is it healthy, smooth, shiny? Or do the strands break when you pull on them? You say you are already a dark blonde which is a good thing if you want to go lighter, it won’t have to be lifted as much as someone who has dark brown/black hair.

  11. I posted this almost a year ago…it’s amazing the difference a year can make. I am still very much private but I do not care what people think of this anymore. I am who I am, I may not get reactions from people that make me feel good due to it, but I don’t need their validation to feel good any longer. Case closed 🕵️‍♀️

  12. Bleeding through every half hour?? Jeez, that definitely sounds like it could become dangerous quick. Definitely go back like they said if you’re feeling dizzy or unwell. I’m surprised they sent you home in that condition

  13. The keto breads make me retain water weight. I will get really thirsty after eating them and my weight will go up on the scale. Try cutting them out, when I do, I have noticed my water weight goes down and I am less puffy. Maybe there is an ingredient in it certain people are sensitive to. I do think they are truly keto though

  14. I don’t think that’s how it works. If you eat certain artificial sweets and they still fit in your macros (and you end up eating under 20 net carbs a day) you’ll still be in ketosis. Are you saying you’re going to eat a lot of artificial sweetner sweets to the point of kicking yourself out of ketosis? Where it’s over your net carb limit? That’s fine but you won’t get the same benefits as being in ketosis if you are just low carb. But I’m sure you’ll still see results for your diabetes.

  15. The issue isn't her age. It is her health. My wife is closer to 70 than 60 and she is healthy, can do pretty much what ever she wants to, -could certainly fast if she wanted to. I know others in their 30's who really shouldn't fast.

  17. I just had to test it out. I’ve tried 24 hours fasts, 48, 72. What seemed the most sustainable (for me) is 48 hour fasts. And I decided to try them twice a week. And I love the results

  19. What it comes down to is that it is your personal choice. If you want to have a lifestyle of low to moderate carb intake, that is up to you. You won’t reap the benefits that keto brings, but you could still lose weight with CICO. Something I’ve personally noticed when I have done low to moderate carbs instead of keto is that I was way more sluggish. My energy levels were not as good. I was still losing weight (was also doing CICO) but I was always puffy. Would get majorly hungry. My PCOS symptoms also returned with a bang.

  20. Being on birth control didn’t help or hinder my weight loss on keto. I’m glad I got on birth control because it has really leveled out my hormones, I hated going through different phases of my cycle.
