Either way, I don’t think this should be up to men to decide.
It’s a strawman argument to say that men are trying to decide this. Anti-abortion advocates want SOCIETY to decide, on a state-by-state basis, which is exactly what this SCOTUS ruling does. “Society” is made up of men AND women alike, the same ones who vote for President or county commissioner. Roe v Wade (which was decided by 7 MEN) should have never take the decision away from society in the first place.
You’re not wrong, but I still think that it’s the wrong way to proceed now that we have had a right guaranteed to people. The state granting or taking away what we have been calling a constitutionally guaranteed right for the last 40 years only affects one gender. Until we want to start giving men vasectomies at puberty and reversing them once they’ve proven they can be responsible fathers, it’s not, in my opinion, appropriate for men to be telling women whether they can have abortions or not.
