That's what I thought... seriously he'd been just playing with them for 3 years. Then one afternoon I noticed my boyo had not touched his food. later that evening, I noticed there was nothing in the litterbox. The next day was the same. took him in and an x-ray showed he ate a few and they tied up his intestines. $4500 surgery, tests, and 3 weeks of kitty jail later (not allowed to jump and play) and he's back to normal... 0/10 would recommend letting your kitty play with things that could hurt them if swallowed.
Yeah, my sister’s cat had to have surgery for a similar thing. When my BF’s daughters came to visit, we had to tell them that any hair ties we found would go straight into the trash. They lost many before they finally learned not to do that. My cat can smell them a mile away, I swear; he gets excited if I have one on my wrist

Google Steiff’s web site and peruse the prices for yourself. There are lower end toys and collector’s items, but they’re pretty pricey
Steiff did a bit of a rollercoaster ride, they tried to produce in China for six year ('04 to '10) but pulled everything out there as they had just too big issues with quality and perceived quality (people also stopped buying the toys still produced in Germany too).

Considering I've seen
I once witnessed a raccoon die of distemper in front of me, and it screamed until it lost all motor control and fell out of its tree and died. The only difference between it and these animals is that the latter don’t know any different—they’ve been messed up since early on in their life and do not know what it’s like to be able to control their own movements. But having to constantly course correct with every movement cannot be pleasant, I don’t care how “happy” people think they are.

There are too many people on the roads who shouldn’t be at all, anywhere. It’s the speeders’ fault for this kind of thing, but I do think that traffic through the park(s) should be handled differently. I do wish people could traverse the park via tram, trolley, monorail, whatever, but no more cars. I’ve been to Yosemite with the traffic backed up for miles because someone spotted a bald eagle—which is a great thing to see, but the backed up traffic puts people in that stupid, panicked mode of feeling trapped, and so they treat it like rush hour. How nice it would be to remove that stress and free people up to actually see the park, instead of having to concentrate (as if) on driving. It’d be much quieter for the wildlife, too, and the park staff might find it easier to control the tourists who leap out of their cars to go pet a bear. I realize people have a zillion reasons for why this can’t or shouldn’t be done, but this is just my opinion on the matter.
I knew of a case where the defendant was in court for leaving his dog in his car for a long time on a hot day. While he was in the courtroom, firemen burst into the room, having just broken the window of the defendant’s car because the dog was in the car (I don’t recall the outcome for the defendant, but it can’t have been good)
