1. It’s your choice. Why does it matter if she is happy or not with your choice?

  2. It doesn’t matter if she’s happy for me or not. What matters is that she was honest, which is a rarity nowadays when it comes to parents.

  3. Don't engage with people like this at work especially.

  4. I try not to engage! It was my first week when a lot of us were talking about family and friends and I brought up the fact that I’m not interested. I learned real quick to keep my mouth shut now.

  5. I've been attending SNHU since June 2020 and I graduate this upcoming summer. Honestly, my experience has been great compared to when I went to an in-person college. Then again, everyone is different. Of course, I had some subpar professors in SNHU, but like any college, you're gonna get some.

  6. I'm graduating with my English degree in June 2023, but I just landed a position as a recruiter in a relatively well-known staffing firm. :)

  7. can i ask how you landed this position? internships? referrals?

  8. Hi hun! I'm gonna be honest, a recruiter from that company reached out to me and scheduled an interview. I would fix your LinkedIn and turn on alerts looking for recruiter/entry-level HR/HR Assistant roles, and I would adjust your LinkedIn profile to say that you are looking to get into those positions.

  9. Give the salary range, read peoples CVs/resumes, don’t call people when they’re at work unless they specifically ask you to and don’t ghost people. If you do that, you’ll be better than 99% of recruiters

  10. Great to know. Thank you very much!

  11. It is possible! I agree with the top voted commenter. I’m graduating in June 2023 and it took me 3 years, but that’s because I started with 1 class per term, and I was working on Sophia on the side. If you knock out as many credits as possible with Sophia and take 2 classes on Sophia, I think you can definitely get it done in 2-3 years. I also work full-time and I take 2 courses at a time—please be sure to manage your time wisely :) DM me if you have any other questions!

  12. I wish I was a fly on the wall during that conversation to be honest because I can't even begin to imagine the look of horror that would have crossed her face..

  13. I'm so sorry your mother was so horrible to you. I hope you've been able to find peace now that she's out of your life.

  14. Did you end up going for it? I’m in the interview process right now

  15. Unfortunately I never got a call back for an interview :(

  16. What exactly is going on with Sophia and SNHU? Where is the issue coming from that Sophia is losing its accreditation? I had so many courses transferred from Sophia to SNHU with no issue.

  17. Fully vaxxed with Pfizer. To me, it felt like a bad flu. Coughing, congestion, headache, loss of smell. I had awful 3-4 days of it and it progressively got better. I still have some symptoms, like a stuffy nose and a leftover cough, and I don’t have my smell, but that’s it! No hospitalization at all. Again, just felt like a really bad flu. You will be fine! Ride it out, take vitamins D, C, and Zinc, and keep hydrated.

  18. A PCR can give a positive result for a long time. I believe the lateral flow tests are better at showing current contagiousness. As for the lethargy, I’m day 17.

  19. Unfortunately, there aren't any lateral flow tests near me. :/ And gahh!! That's awful. I hope it gets better for you soon.

  20. What test are you using? I tested positive 10/29
