  1. How many days does their feverish child have to not eat before they think it’s serious enough to seek medical attention instead of posting on social media?

  2. It's actually no problem for a sick kid to go off food for for a few days, as long as they keep drinking fluids.

  5. Removed. we are not your doctor and will not write notes.

  6. Looks good to me! Baby is perfectly safe. Are you comfortable?

  7. We can't help if you don't tell us the actual issue

  8. Fluctuated wildly, but that's because I had two kids. Currently 3-4 kg above target weight.

  9. Well........ I see strikes all the time in my country

  10. Same here in the Netherlands. Though doctors hardly ever strike here.

  11. what the heck is #nadtherapy? like is it to do with her being single as in 'nads' that blokes have? or is it actual therapy? ive never heard of it

  12. nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. It's an enzyme involved in oxidative stress and the wellness industry now uses it as a sort of iv supplement cure all. It is not used in proper medicine.

  13. Yup they call it secondary disease profit here. Being sick has perks that to some people overweigh the cons of the illness. Getting better isn't as interesting.

  14. Run this through Google translate for inspiration:

  15. This is a medical advice sub, not a relationship advice sub

  16. No we don't care about your insurance. If a first line of testing for complaints yield nothing and the physician thinks a functional disorder, further testing will only cause harm.

  17. So only first line testing should yield enough information?

  18. I am not your doctor and will not comment on the personal part of your question in this thread. I'm just saying it's usually not beneficial to a patient to see multiple specialists, that's it.

  19. Greys anatomy is the worst offfender in my opinion. Scrubs is by far the most accurate

  20. I love it when they put their stethoscope in backwards or shock asystole. Or listening with said stethoscope for two seconds and then yell V-FIB!!!

  21. I have a very easy solution to this problem: don't go on twitter. I'm not, and I don't feel behind. I don't think any of my coworkers are on twitter either. At least I've never heard anyone about it. They even look at me weird when I tell them reddit exists.

  22. removed, please read our rule on claming credentials.

  23. NAD but if you cannot get her to an ER, google Mobile Crisis Unit + your current city. Many cities have 24 hour access and will come to your home (plain clothes, no sirens, etc as to not scare the person in crisis) and assess them. If they need services, Mobile Crisis will take them there.

  24. please read our rule on claiming credentials, and remove the last sentence of your post.

  25. We didn't. Get outside help, and accept that the house will be a mess for a while. And babywearing. I even cooked with baby in the carrier (standing sideways so nothing hot would hit her). I also ate with her in the carrier. dropping stuff on their head will happen sometimes...

  27. If I haven't prepared lunch boxes the night before: 1,5 hours. But I have two small children to get to daycare. Without kids it's 45 minutes.

  30. NAD but Serotonin syndrome you would feel your breathing slow to almost a stop, correct?
