Vacation feeders work great. Wonder shell is also a must if you don't have calcium in your water, I don't so it's a constant I have to add monthly to my tanks.
i do weekly cleans and i add calcium supplements to the water and they also get a calcium block to eat. i also make sure to add vegetables to their diet.

Are you providing calcium in the water column and in their diet? What's your pH and GH/KH levels?
oh! and where i can find it as well, my local pet store doesn’t carry much for aquariums.
