  1. You can buy litmus paper strips off Amazon. It puts my mind to ease so much. It’s basic science even though it says it is not intended for that purpose. Aminotic fluid is a certain pH. Either the strip turns blue or doesn’t. A bottle of 40 was about $15… brand was Natureland.

  2. I like Dr. Rhonda Patrick so I’ve been following her regimen. Thorne prenatal, Thorne D3, Nordic Naturals prenatal DHA.

  3. My condolences. 18 wonderful years with a special and loved pup. 🥺

  4. Thanks. We have a company already in mind but I am urging law enforcement intervention asap. Understood.

  5. Go directly to law enforcement and let them perform an investigation. Don't hire a 3rd party until you have done the first step.

  6. My one hesitation with local law enforcement being the first stop is the time it’ll take to get them to move on this, and we also thought maybe it’s best to compile as much damning evidence as possible for them, so when we show them everything, we made their jobs straightforward and easy. Like, here officer, these are the facts, this is the email, this is unrefutable, undeniable proof it’s this business, etc., so it doesn’t sit on someone’s desk for months while my friend continues to further deteriorate. This business by the way, has a laundry list of shady business practices, easily verified online and multiple run-ins with the law.

  7. "We need to talk" and then when you text back right away, they don't text for hours

  8. Or… “we need to talk” and when you do, your life is never the same again because no matter how much you love someone you can’t control that they no longer want to be with you.

  9. Exactly what happened to me a few weeks back. And I'm like "talk about what?? You trying to break up with me or sumn??" Silence for a few minutes. Then he says "we'll talk about it when I get home." He moved out that day. Was going behind my back searching for a place to live by himself. Didn't have the balls or decency to tell me this when he started looking. Our lease on the house we had together was up in June. Dk wtf made him think I wanted to live in an empty house as a reminder of what once was. Shit came outta left field and has left me absolutely broken ever since. Had me so sick to my stomach and anxiety through the roof. Not so bad now but still hurts. Ready to gtfoh and heal already

  10. Sorry to hear. Those three words sparked a turn in my life as well. Been there. Time heals. Definitely don’t try and skip the grieving process and its stages… love yourself. Be kind to yourself right now.

  11. Your mom sounds exactly like mine. BPD with Narc tendencies and perhaps histrionic PD as well. Sorry OP. Hang in there.

  12. Yes- there’s definitely histrionic qualities! I’d love to hear more about your mom to compare them and our experiences. It’s nice to know my brother and I are not alone.

  13. The only thing my Nmom learned from therapy was how to give really good apologies. Which let's her continue to treat us how she wants, because then we're unreasonable for not accepting the apology. She learned all the words to say so we would just keep taking it. That is not necessarily a good thing.

  14. That’s awful and I am sorry therapy wasn’t the solution you probably hoped.

  15. I went no contact with my mother who treated me terribly. In my early 20's I tried to talk to her about it like adults and she denied all the emotional and physical abuse I had to endure at her hands and made peace that it wasn't my fault

  16. My Nmom has a selective memory also. Too bad my scars aren’t visible for her to see what she’s done when she looks at me. Doesn’t matter how many witnesses there were, she has a way of conveniently forgetting and revising history.

  17. Childhood without my father would have been so much better. We'd have had less money but I wouldn't have been scared all the time.

  18. I’m so sorry that you were scared throughout your childhood. Children should be loved, nurtured, and protected. My heart broke reading your comment. I wish you all the healing and health, and I’m sure you, like me, used the adversity of your childhood to grow and be a better human.

  19. Woman being dragged at the end is saying “what is the reason for arresting me? Let go!” and they are all chanting “no to war”.

  20. First comment is best comment: “This was one of the dumbest articles I've read on WSJ.”

  21. What a beautiful photo of a best friend. RIP. My condolences for your loss.

  22. I had a heart attack. Insurance wouldn’t cover emergency stint because they deemed it wasn’t medically necessary. US Healthcare is beyond dumb.

  23. Amazingly some ER doctor thought it was medically necessary. But what do they know?

  24. https://digital.nhs.uk/data-and-information/publications/statistical/statistics-on-obesity-physical-activity-and-diet/statistics-on-obesity-physical-activity-and-diet-england-2019/part-1-obesity-related-hospital-admissions

  25. Ever wanted to learn a new language? Now’s the time. Any time your mind starts to go into thoughts of him or the past, you need to distract yourself with something else that you’re interested in asap. I subscribed to audible. I downloaded pimsleur’s Farsi. It’s a language I always wanted to learn. And I started. On drives to work when I would undoubtedly go there in my mind, I turned this on and I actively learned something new. I can now say some conversational sentences and understand a few words and it’s awesome. Better yourself as you move forward with your life. I also second working out. I buried myself into the gym life. The physical pain droned out the emotional pain, and the effects of that was I am at my healthiest weight and my bloodwork comes out normal every time. Also, get into podcasts. You need to get your mind away from obsessing, and hobbies and distractions help. I got into some amazing true crime podcasts that had me binging like crazy. You literally have to train your brain from thinking about him.

  26. Sometimes you’re unlucky and insurance won’t pay for it just because you need it

  27. Correct- if you use more insulin that month than prescribed (because you happen to have had unexpected high blood sugar that month… which could be triggered by having a common cold for example), you’ll have to pay out of pocket for a few extra pens to get you through to the date when insurance will pay. The cost can range to $650-1200 in my experience.

  28. Has anyone stopped to wonder if maybe this is made up bullshit? It’s the daily mail, and the kid in the pic is practically an infant? None of it makes sense.
