Someone posited that he may have arrived via a faraway tree and someone else noticed an old school bus by the road, which explains his lunchbox. I think he got into the cellar through a tree as well.
I also believe that. Ever since Julie climbed into the tree and then turned up in the cellar. Seems very likely the same thing happened to Victor. Maybe his mother/an adult who knew about the trees instructed him to get in one? I also keep wondering about Victor's whereabouts after the Colony house attack.
38, single for nearly a decade. After my break up I tried, really I did, but I had to finally accept that I’m not desirable enough for a man to want me and choose me over other options. I’m the sort of woman that a man will reluctantly settle for, quietly resentful that he can’t do any better for himself, but will ditch as soon as a better option comes along. Occasionally a man decided any hole is better than none and fucked me, but would never want anyone in his life to know, and never offered any kind of romantic or personal validation or security.

I figured there are people who have to live in the constant illusion that they are never “the bad guy”. They cannot for the life of them directly reject anyone (“oh no then I am hurting their feelings which makes me the bad guy!!”), but they also can’t just ghost for the same reasons.

Same. I'm a light sleeper and when sharing a bed I seldom get a good night's sleep. Even when alone I need earplugs or every little noise will wake me up.

I agree with this comment. He might be just feeling lonely and in need of some female attention.
So people, especially women (including me), tend to start future planning in our heads right away. We shouldn’t even be thinking about “are they emotionally ready to be my husband and father of my kids” yet. We should be simplifying it by asking “how do those words or actions make me feel right now in this moment TODAY.” We get distracted with our future planning that we miss important actions.
