  7. They were killed in the 2000s. Sure, the decade started strong with hits like Scary Movie and my personal favorite Not Another Teen Movie. But it got formulaic and really, really bad with stinkers like Epic Movie and Disaster Movie.

  9. I agree. I’ve had to raise starting wages by 33% this year just to be able to hire the very bottom of the talent pool. Am i allowed to do that for my vets? No way. So i’ve had to get creative with the budget, create lead roles that dont even exist to “promote” vets into that i can get budget waivers for, and then use the budget money saved from that raise to double a different vet’s raise. And we’re still struggling to keep people.

  10. This is the obvious result of US companies failing to reward loyal employees for the last 50 years. And now we have millions of well-paid new hires who barely know how to do their jobs, and every major industry severely brain-drained of institutional knowledge.

  12. One time, my application was rejected because they wanted experience in their MRP software. I’ve mastered 3 different MRP’s over the years, they’re essentially the same, each kinda sucks in it’s own way. Hiring managers get hung up over the stupidest things.
