Not necessarily. My AC hasn't been serviced in only god knows how long. It functioned, but took 10+ minutes to get noticeably cooler in hot weather. Now, it's a full on icebox.
Why on earth would I do that? My AC functioned before this, and functions even better now. Back to square one of what? I didn't say anything about it having a leak, or it being disabled. I should mention that at this time at my trade school, we're certified for vehicle HVAC.
E55 owner here. Do I need to completely empty the old R134 to properly consider it full maintenance. I haven't done mine in like 7 years and I live in Texas.
Update, she blows out cooled air in the 40F range. Good to know I can store meat during power outages lol

It will be empty within the week. And you’ll be back to square one. Change you condenser and low side ac line.
