DAE actually enjoy kids movies?

  1. My husband loves Disney and all those kids movies. I'm not all that interested, but I'll watch for his sake. I do end up liking some of them, like Moana was fucking lit.

  2. I was so happy I got to watch Moana at work. It felt as good as the Disney movies used to be back when I was a kid. It's on my top 5 (in no particular order) favourite Disney movies list now.

  3. The best part about being an adult is doing anything you feel like doing on your own buck and free of judgment. Embrace that and enjoy. I watch Saturday morning cartoons with my husband and we don't have kids. We work hard and try to enjoy our lives. No one will care at a store. They'll probably assume it's for a gift or for your kids.

  4. I love Disney. No shame here. If I didn’t have kids I would still watch something Disney every day.

  5. I love Disney cartoons/movies! The Disney Halloween special is still a favorite and I am almost 40. Don't be embarrassed!!!! What shame is there for loving those things that are nostalgic and to be honest, just plain great! Also, I am child free. There used to be mild shyness when I would go buy movies or even video games where I have flat out been asked if it was for my child. My response "Nope! For me!" Don't deprive yourself of joy out of fear of what others think....F that.... You deserve joy! You go buy the House of Villains!

  6. Yep. I'm trying to collect all the Disney classics on dvd with O-Ring slipcovers because I like the coordination.

  7. I do! My sister and I went together to see Moana in theaters when it came out. I feel like a lot of the best movies geared towards kids also have plenty for adults to enjoy.

  8. Exactly. My parents enjoy the Toy Story films because there are so many different levels of humour, themes with different levels of nuance, and people of all ages can enjoy them.

  9. I love a lot of kids movies. I happily watch many with my grandkids as I fid with my kids. I don't even mind watching them over and over when I rarely rewatch a regular movie.

  10. I like kids movies and TV shows. For example, Hilda on Netflix is LIT. I went to see Happy Feet in the theater as a grown adult. I just watched Hercules the other day while I was folding laundry.

  11. I love kids holiday movies! The holiday season starts with The Great Pumpkin, then there's The Grinch, A Charlie Brown Christmas and Frosty the Snowman. There's such nostalgia in watching all these movies that I look forward it every year.

  12. Yes! It's nostalgia for me as a millennial to go back and watch Disney movies from the 90s. Do you!

  13. Pffft I'm childfree and in my 30s and I watch Spongebob almost every morning while drinking my coffee. I adore Disney/Pixar and Miyazaki movies and one of my favorite movies of all time is The Brave Little Toaster.

  14. Frankly, I think it’d be more embarrassing to only enjoy “adult” movies. Like what, it’s gotta have titillating sex or gory violence to appeal to you? That seems a little weird.

  15. I am 30 and my.mom is 55 and we still go see children's movies in the theatre when it is open. I was also seeing a guy who was 29 and we often watched Disney and Pixar movies while falling asleep.

  16. I love Disney, so does my aunt. When I lived with her we had a collection of all the classics, Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, Lion King (original), Beauty and the Beast (original and remake), Mulan, etc. We even collected the more modern ones like Up, Moana, The Brave. Disney movies are so fun and wholesome, no shame in liking that.

  17. Don't be embarrassed! You're in your 30s and can do whatever you want, friend :) they're not gonna know it's for you specifically

  18. Why would you be embarrassed? Loads of adults enjoy kids films, especially Disney. In my opinion, being able to appeal to different age groups is a sign of a good film.
