Urge to find someone to cry to?

  1. Same. I hug my plushie and sometimes I have an alter that comforts me (I have DID). You can imagine someone in the moment to hug you though it’s kinda similar. I know it’s not the same as a real person but it really helps.

  2. Plushies are more helpful than given credit for. There’s a reason children love them so much. I hug one of those or a pillow when I’m really sad Or having a flashback. Having something soft that feels vaguely like a person helps a lot. It may sound silly but it helps a lot. My therapist recommended it to me as an alternative to self-punishment i’d dole out.
