  1. I would consider it bad for someone trying to reduce their cholesterol. Some people consider it a “healthy oil” because it’s natural but I would chose olive oil over it anyway.

  2. Sadly it's on the things my cardiologist made me give up. He said there is too much information out there showing how it raises bad cholesterol.

  3. It's a bit difficult to say when one food is healthy or not, but it does raise LDL cholesterol. It does also raise HDL cholesterol.

  4. Saturated fat in moderation isn’t necessarily bad but it does raise LDL. Not sure about coconut oil specifically though, and the source does matter. Mediterraneans have moderate amounts of sat fat from yoghurt and cheese specifically and have the lowest rates of MACE in the world.
