I have a set of the LP shampoo and conditioner from a haircare bundle in an earlier sale. I haven't used it yet (or ever before) so now I'm curious as to whether or not that's also the new formula. I wonder when it changed.
I read those reviews as well and decided against getting these in category 1. Most likely it will be the new formula since people don't like it and the brand probably tried to get rid of these units as quickly as possible. Fabfitfun would be a great way to eliminate extra stock.
That makes sense! The majority of these bad reviews seem to have been over this summer. There’s way more bad reviews than just these, too. LP is probably doing this to get rid of the bad new stock.
I know many people already do this, but if there is a category I can't choose for myself, I think about Christmas and birthday presents for others. It's generally cheaper than going out and buying them something comparable too.
Thank you for posting this! I have been struggling with seborrheic dermatitis and after LOVING the Ouai detox shampoo last year I was excited and had high hopes for this. I’m switching to the weekender bag. I also just dropped the Restore Repair mask from Cat 3.
I also struggle with seb derm and mine has become resistant to a lot of things that used to work, but the Briogeo scalp revival serum that’s in boosts for this box is my absolute holy grail. Nothing else has ever been so effective so quickly at soothing my scalp and getting rid of dry patches.
I really debated adding these to my box because I recently bought and tried the Living Proof mask in another category, and it made my hair feel crunchy and like there was a film on it. It took two washes to get my hair back to normal. I thought the mask just didn't work for me, but these reviews describe what I experienced with the mask. I am no longer getting these. I hope this helps anyone considering the mask, too.
All of these are new formulas?!? Whatttt I swore by their products but I def don’t need another deep conditioner until I use some of mine up. Loved this one before though….
I just went and checked out the recent reviews and they were all bad. About 8 in a row in the last 2 weeks. I just changed my choice to the weekender bag. I hope some other options open up. 🫤
Oh no, I picked this in Cat 1 also, not reading recent reviews. I just assumed the brand was high quality all the time. Luckily, it's an extra choice so I can drop it without losing out. Thanks for the heads up.
Well, I just went and changed my category 1. I wanted to try this shampoo and hopefully use it going forward if it was good. So either it happens to be the old formula and then I can never find it again, or its the new formula and its terrible...face mask it is lol!
Thanks so much for posting this! I was trying to decide whether to get this set and I had it as my selection. Now am going to switch to the colander bowl set. I just saw it in one of the videos and was surprised that it looked nice and large. The photos had made it look more like a pint sized item, and I couldn't find dimensions anywhere.
Thanks for posting. I had noticed the recent reviews on ulta were all bad, but hadn't quite put that together. I was hoping the overall higher rating meant it worked for most people- but not if it's a new formula! I went ahead and changed my choice to one of the weekender bags. I'm bummed, because if it was decent I could have at least used shampoo/conditioner! I never take shorter trips, so can't imagine a use for the weekender bag either, but I figured there was always a chance that someday I would take a short trip...
I'm not sure if this makes a difference but I noticed that the Christophe Robin things I've gotten in the last year are in an older packaging than the ones I've ordered directly from brand.

The mask has alot of bad reviews about leaving a waxy coating on scalp n that needed to be washed twice to remove from scalp
For what I've seen in surveys, the OUAI might return this winter 😉

This sure does! I had this for catagory 3 and just switched to the body wash.

Ahh now what do we do? I'm not sure if the new formula is any better than the drug store stuff I get for much less ...
Well that’s interesting, I did see try changed the formula on the volume spay that is in the add ons.
