  2. Actual bribery and lobbying are completely different. Bribery is "I will pay you to do X". Lobbying is "Here are my arguments for why X is the right thing to do." Every time a citizen writes or calls their senator, they're "lobbying" at a very small scale.

  3. Arguing is “here are my arguments for why X is the right thing to do.” “Here is a wad of cash for why X is the right thing to do” is lobbying. Legalized, rationalized, euphemized bribery.
