Does anyone know what this is in the back of a 991 GT3?

  1. Storage tray, missing the little door and rubber inlay. I couldn't find any info on what the bolt underneath is.

  2. On the old cars there is an access location on the rear of the tunnel that opens up to the E-Break line, rear break line, fuel line, electrical harness, speedo cable and some other stuff routed through there. Might just be a fastener for that cover but would be interested to see if it’s removed what’s underneath… 👍🏼

  3. Thanks all for the info and some laughs! From glory hole to gt2rs conversion, Reddit is wild 😂

  4. The back of my gt3rs has this. It’s a little tray to put like coins and stuff in the normal 911 models but they took it out in the gt3rs gt3 Gt2rs and probably more

  5. The nut under that tray (cover is removed) secures that trim piece. You have to remove it in order to remove the carpet pad to bolt in the rear cage.

  6. They put it there by mistake but it was too far in production so they just left it. Kind of a rare thing, might be worth more money.

  7. It’s a Fetzer valve. You’ll need some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads, and 'bout ten quarts of anti-freeze, preferably Prestone. No, no make that Quaker State.
