Personally felt that first year was alot harder than the second. But mainly because first year i was goofing around and second year i was actually getting work done so courses were pretty light
Second year isn’t harder than first year in terms of actual course difficulty, it’s just a lot more work. You’re essentially doing double the amount of work for most courses (e.g., doing 2 chapters of work a week instead of one), and there’s a larger focus on recruitment and interviewing and clubs as well.

Are there more group projects or less in year 2?
If you can take a course during the summer then you should so you lighten the course load during the fall and winter term
If you are working during the school year then I would recommend taking a summer course just to lighten your work load
