Sweden was given eight T-72's from Eastern Germany after the collapse of the USSR. All of them except one were used as target practice. The T-72 on the picture is the one that was preserved.
But basically all Yugo cars were designed by FIAT design studios. FIAT owns Ferrari, so they are picolo Testarossas. Only Yugo Florida, the best looking one, still a copy of Fiat Tipo, but not with FIAT input, was designed in Kragujevac, but it was rare, came in late 1980's. ?????

They used one of them to shoot an Strv-103.
Ironic
How so?
Is this a T-72A variant?
It is whatever the East-Germans had before the collapse of the USSR.
T-72M Variant
No it's an original Ural. TPD-2-49 rangefinder in front of TC hatch gives it away
Such a good looking tank
Yep. the T-72M and the T-72M1 are certainly lookers.
I agree.
I'm especially partial to any that have the cloth looking stuff in-between the barrel and manlet. Not sure what it's called
Kind of ironic given the fact that Wittman died when the turret was blown of his tank.
For Charles Wittman?
Since it was given to them by East Germany I would assume Michael Wittman
I'd rename it.
does michael command it?

Everyone talking about a tiger ace, meanwhile I just thought of the

T-72s are fine looking, not the best, but not ugly.

Like the tank Ace or Wittman fever
Sweeeeeedish.
Just like the famous Michael Witmann himself he got killed in his Tiger 1 tank and the turret popped off.
Sweden, I luv your PC incorrectness.

It wasn't the Ukrainians who gave the tank its name.
