Bartending at a pool for the summer and have these 2 odd bottles in the closet. Need some recipe ideas. Thanks

  1. That diplomático is very special. It was a limited run made on a specific type of still. (I have batch no.1 and no.2). I wouldn’t put it in a cocktail rather sell it on the rocks or neat as a dessert pairing or after-dinner drink.

  2. __ with an ice cube? If you’re at a single bottle of each and not going to reorder, I wouldn’t worry about trying to make something unique. Offer to elevate a Hemingway daiquiri with Diplomatico or a whiskey lemonade or blackberry bramble with Jack Single Barrel.

  3. Don’t mix that rum. Neat or rocks. Similar idea for the jack, Ngl I wouldnt care about using the jack in a classic. Manhattan, traditional sour, OF, ect

  4. Most people are saying to serve them neat but honestly since it sounds like they are personal bottles, I would just keep them that way.

  6. I once saw a suggestion to make big ice cubes from coconut water and drink good rum on the rocks with them. Sounds like a good opportunity to try it.

  7. If you're gonna use the diplomatico, I'd do simple cocktails, mostly daiquiri variations. I'd personally use it in a regal daq thats a little drier than normal.

  8. No comment on the Diplomatico because I haven't had it, but even if you're not a JD fan (and I'm not), that SBS is a fine dram.
