Now I get it!

  1. Moved into a creepy old rental in college, and the first thing we did was find and get into what a literally everybody described as the murder basement

  2. Its zombie films that are validated, for me. "How on earth could a zombie epidemic break out? We have planes, tanks, bombs and so many guns. All it would take is a half-decent response and people not to run up to the zombies" was my old thinking. I still think that, but now with the knowledge that nearly 45% of America would be shooting at the army and trying to pull the masks off the zombies to prove they're actors for the deep state.

  3. so true when you watch that contagion film with matt Damon, your like god wouldn't it be bad is a pandemic happened, what you don't realise is how unrealistic it is that everyone stayed in their homes and wore a mask. when life is a actually worse than thriller movie.

  4. I used to think it was ridiculous that people would keep going to Jurassic Park after every incident of dinosaurs eating the staff & visitors. Now I realize that, yes, people would absolutely still go.

  5. Yeah, ever zombie movie/book with zombie worshipers, ever plague story with people crowding in large groups to get into the safe haven, the storages pictured in long term dystopia stories (despite society otherwise functioning), we are doomed as a species.

  6. Look no further than the freeway or highway depending on where you live to see how people act. For real when you are driving on the freeway just look. It’s just pockets of space with a group of cars…. Then another pocket and another group. We group like animals in a herd.

  7. I used to think people becoming zombies only by being bitten would never work. But with half the population saying “zombies aren’t real” I can definitely see it happening.

  8. But zombies aren’t real, those are just antifa crisis actors scaring you into staying in your home. They don’t want you to leave and see the truth.

  9. Yesterday, I'm picking up my food at a restaurant and this guy is also waiting for his food. He starts small talk about how this restaurant is amazing but long wait and then goes into how he's not wearing a mask and says "fck vaccines," grown man giggling like a little kid like when they think they're being bad and getting away with something. I try to be polite and just lightly nod and smile. He then takes out his phone to show me an article and says, "check this news article, a reliable source talking about the insurance companies paying out a lot more death benefits during the pandemic." I ask what's that mean in terms of the vaccines? He says, "I don't know but I personally think the vaccines are causing more deaths and it's not being reported, and most of the deaths are not covid related." My smiling and nodding froze and i'm thinking i'm in a good mood, about to get some good food to relax and I don't want to do my normal thing about checking some idiot in public. Normally this is when I would call bullshit and start explaining causation, correlation, talk about peer reviewed studies and scientific consensus and the interpretation of reliably gathered data by trained medical professionals, etc. but i just let him go on for another 3 minutes while i zoned out and my food was ready and i bolted out of there.

  10. My dad has been anti-vaxx and anti-mask this entire time. He is retired, but he goes to mcdonalds or to 7-11 basically every day, barely wears his mask (lets it hang below his nose, or under his chin) and only adjusts it if someone says something to him.

  11. Wow. In 2018, the average insulin prices in the US was $98.70, compared to $6.94 in Australia, $12.00 in Canada, and $7.52 in the UK.

  12. I'm really sorry this happened to your dad, no one should have to ration life saving meds. My thoughts are with you and your family

  13. You need to understand, they can't go back. They CANT. Conservatives aren't free, they must obey. Masks don't work? Must obey. Ivermectin? Must obey. Covid hoax? Must obey. They are not free to discuss or disagree. If they do then they are ostracized, kicked out, a "socialist". They do not have freedom.

  14. I have been banned from so many conservative reddits for making a single comment that didn't conform, for people who go on about freedom they really like to protect their bubbles.

  15. It's funny seeing those that have had their lips firmly planted on Trumps ass for years get called RINO's for disagreeing with their god king emperor.

  16. I realized this pandemic that zombie movies are very realistic in how stupid most people would be in activly exposing themselves to the virus

  17. I can understand some initial whining about it, but with the proper leadership in place, it would have never been anything but a very minor issue by the fringiest of the fringe element(s). Unfortunately, "leadership" said that it would disappear like magic and all but directly discouraged people from wearing masks.

  18. Sorry to tell you but it wouldn’t have mattered at all. The right is so far past the fringe that conspiracy is their new status quo

  19. Not only that, but half of THOSE people are old enough to have lined up and got vaccines at school, during school, because they finally had vaccines to deal with some serious diseases.

  20. Amen to that!!! I always thought that the majority of human race was pretty intelligent and had good intentions. Now I find that animal life is actually pretty damn intelligent and kind! I get it now too and add my apologies to all filmmakers as well

  21. Interesting phenomenon in Australia; very low flu numbers because everyone is using hand sanitisers and wearing masks and social distancing. Gastro went nuts! because everyone is using hand sanitisers but not necessarily going the whole soap and water route.

  22. Masks don't do shit when there's hardly anyone who has mask etiquettes. This includes all the left to the right.

  23. After 2 years of measurements and seeing it hardly even help, it becomes increasingly harder to abide by all the rules. 2 years of this 'living-in-fear'-ish situation don't really work well on your mind either.

  24. yes, absolutely! Not cloth masks, no. N95, especially at places like the grocery store where there are absolute tools that have no respect and like to tout their own self-righteous indignation as an antimasking, antivaxxing, idiot. We get it and you can shut up about i already but many of us really don't care about your BS the same as no one should care if we wear a mask and get vaccinated (though we would prefer y'all to not actually die but that's on y'all at this point). So yes, I wear a mask everywhere I go when I do go out.

  25. Also Disaster Movies. I'm going to specifically call out the town mayor from Jaws refusing to close the beaches (even just to swimming) despite ample evidence of a killer shark because the town's economy depended on it. It seemed so odd that someone responsible for the well-being of a whole town would just... But no. No, that's exactly what we do.

  26. naw this is great because Darwin is at work. the dumbest percentage of our population dies, because they listen to Facebook and SAHMs instead of the hundreds of thousands of doctors and scientists who went to school for 8-12y AFTER H.S. don't wanna follow advice of experts? ok, you get one FaceTime call then we have to vent. make sure to say goodbye! fucking braindead morons. my sympathy has been LONG gone.

  27. Also fuck every writer that says humanity wins against ANY aliens trying to concur us, we would argue for decades in what position getting assfucked by them is better.

  28. If the last couple of years have taught me anything, it's that we can no longer use the phrase "avoid it like the plague" unironically.

  29. My daughter banned me from watching horror/murder movies because I yell at TV characters. I don’t yell in general, but for some reason this particular stupidity enrages me.

  30. To qouote a comment I saw on another posting if this tweet: "Zombie mivies will look real dumb now without hoards of oeiple trying to get bitten to disprove the "liberal hoax"

  31. If I can walk though my front door then I can get a car though the same door. Oh wait no I can't.

  32. I’ve only ever worn a mask while flying, with exception for high value opportunities I’ve come across where a mask was required. I’m not with all the dip shit qanon fuck shit. I just know that i am healthy and it seams to me that breathing fresh circulating air is quite reasonably the best option. Literally every person i know that bitches about people who don’t wear masks, has contracted COVID. I honestly do not know anyone personally who has died from it. Definitely know people who have family or friends who have. In all seriousness though, if you are living an unhealthy lifestyle, wearing a mask is only keeping your own germs from leaving your mouth. In turn, staying in your mouth and cultivating. I’ve worked package delivery, shared blunts, traveled to several states and two continents and never even experienced a fever. I got vaccinated just recently within maybe 6 months or so. The only time i got sick was the day after both shots then right as rain again. I eat good, i exercise and get plenty of sunshine and fresh air. If i lived in a major city and rode on a subway then i could see masking as a potential need. When i see people looking at me with their masks on i show respect by saying hello. Never once since the beginning has anyone said one word to me about wearing a mask. To get on Reddit some days i feel like everyone has such a strong opinion about it but i never experience the hostility anywhere in real life. Recently was banned on

  35. It must be hard wearing a condom 24/7 so everyone else is protected from STD’s and pregnancy you absolute tool

  36. Well masks have really worked haven't they? 2+ years on plus social distancing and it is still here in force.... Or is that due to all the anti-maskers not doing their part? Mmmm.... 🤔

  37. I see you tried to comment to me, but commented to the main thread instead. I guess this thing can be tricky. Also, going through my post history. Man I really must have triggered you. Just trying to encourage people to mask up. You seem to have anger issues, I hope you're doing okay.
