First print seems to have shifted slightly. Should I print rails up next time?

  1. Silk Magic PLA 3D Printer Filament, Silk Shiny PLA Filament Color Change Material Shiny 1.75mm +/- 0.02mm, Tri-Color Coextrusion Filament 1KG/2.2lbs, Fit Most FDM Printer (MagicPLA)

  2. i think shift is independent of print orientation, you can check your belt tension but it could also just be a bad file. i've had shifting on something then i re-sliced it and didn't have them no more

  3. General tip: Don't use silk PLA, or PLA in general for that matter. Use PLA+ or stronger. I use ESun, but there are a lot of good PLA+'s out there.

  4. Less about print orientation and more about printer adjustments. Check belts for x and y as far as tension and teeth engagement.
