It was hard to capture a whole performance back then. They might have three cameras filming a show but the film in the cameras might only last about ten minutes so they had to change reels with fresh film a lot so unless a single camera captures a whole song they might miss a song here and there. Most Rock performances in the late 1960s and early 1970s were not complete because the film cameras ran out of film in the middle of a song.
They were changing the film in the cameras during can you see me and purple haze. That's why there is only 20 seconds or so captured on film on each of those performances.
I bet parts of it were captured, but not all of it (changing film on the cameras/saving film)
Yep and apparently a camera drop in the changing of film hence why some songs are missing which is a shame
