Don’t trend on my help

  1. I can’t find “news share” anywhere. And the only “Feed the Need” charitable event in Dallas has a website that doesn’t mention guns or cops.

  2. This is almost uniquely an American thing lol. We instead just have a housing crisis (actually a result of a housing crash over 10 years ago caused by careless businesses)

  3. Some cities have ordinances about giving stuff to the homeless or “panhandlers”. A women in my state is suing the police for being arrested for handing out food to the homeless. How it is a crime to help the homeless is fucking wild to me

  4. From what I just read apparently serving more than 5 homeless people requires fucking registration with the city or else face charges for misdemeanor and/or 2k fine. What a bunch of clowns

  5. What’s stopping someone from advertising help for homeless people right next to a children’s park? Now you’ve got a large gathering of homeless people, many who are on drugs, criminals, or on the sex offender registry. Now they are all gathered in one place and don’t want to leave.

  6. It’s to deter panhandling that has gotten out of control. Dallas actually has some amazing homeless outreach programs and police here are trained to provide those sources. I don’t agree they can’t ask for food and most Dallas PD don’t enforce this law.

  7. Typically in the US it’s justified by politicians peddling the lie that the food could be tainted, so they’re better off with no food.

  8. because people are worried it will encourage homeless to congregate. If it was really health concerns like people claim restaurants and grocers wouldnt be required to throw out their leftovers

  9. Because it attracts them all to one place and turns that one place into a dangerous area. Drugs, litter, fighting, etc…

  10. Never assume the government is looking out for our best interests, they will murder you to preserve their status-quo.

  11. "We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force."

  12. Open carrying swords is pretty awesome, we should bring that back. Keep the guns but add swords to the equation.

  13. A single armed person doesn't deter cops. 50 or 100 people armed and armored better than the cops will absolutely deter their shenanigans.

  14. Cops are fucking cowards. They aren’t going to fuck with enforcing stupid laws like this when there is actual resistance. They like fucking with homeless people and the people who feed them in the places it’s not legal because it gives them a power trip. Armed resistance doesn’t give them an easy power trip fix.

  15. I can’t find “news share” anywhere. And the only “Feed the Need” charitable event in Dallas has a website that doesn’t mention guns or cops.

  16. "Tyrannical laws out there" ... in Dallas TX !!! No shit bro. You live in a RED state where YOUR lawmakers don't give a damn about the poor. Loby to change the laws. Stop voting against your own interests. Brandishing your guns is real cute though, but effective in this case. Been doing this "charity work for seven years" and yet keep re-electing Republicans who don't give a damn.

  17. How is it a crime to feed homeless people. Like fine charge me. I dare you to find a jury that would convict me for it.

  18. Not illegal to allow the homeless into your home instead of doing this in a public place that’s safer without a bunch of homeless people hanging around.

  19. I would love to see this in my area. I love it when good people are like "we're gonna do good people shit and you ain't gonna stop us" lol
