I have known a few drug dealers that wore a police uniform. The ones that I knew worked security for restaurants on the weekends. They tended to be shady individuals.
No lie. Same with concert/venue security. Back in the 90’s, in the heyday of underground raves, there were a number of shady security guards that would be selling whatever they managed to confiscate back into the party they confiscated them from via a few trusted dealers. Those dudes always had the best shit and it was on discount too!!!
Back when I was visiting Jamaica (20ish years ago) I was told more than once to go to hotel security if I wanted to buy some weed — seemed odd at first but they always had top tier stuff, way better than what you would find on the beach
I mean he’s a volunteer not an actual cop. They don’t get a gun and a badge to go on calls or anything. They get a cruiser that says volunteer on it and they drive around. If they see suspicious stuff they radio dispatch to send actual officers out.
Last week baltimore almost hired an active suspect in a murder trial to work in the city govt, until a detective on the case walked by the man attending his interview and got arrested.
"We’re embarrassed… Somebody messed up 12 years ago on a background," Judd stated. "He’s been a stellar volunteer, very well-loved, done a good job, except when he’s selling oxys out of the car, using it as cover. I am livid." My fav
After reading the title out loud and calling the guy a 'dick', my gf was like "why is he a dick, aren't you opposed to the war on drugs?". Yes I am, but this guy was selling garage grime, which is full of all kinds of toxic impurities. That's what makes him a dick.
Polk county where a bunch of redneck country folk break the law and worship a redneck sheriff. I live in the area and I cant fathom the shit that goes on around here. Its a meth induced free for all with the addict's cheering on the police.
Lol. I also live in Florida and whenever I hear about Polk County it's always topping a previous story. It's literally becoming the Florida of Florida.
Cmon, the man is 69 years old. You gotta give it to him for hassling at that age, and with some flare as well. When I’m 69, I’ll be in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank.
I am so so so glad I can go into a store and buy my drugs legally now. Fuck having to deal with the contradiction of a cop car dispensing drugs when I am jonesing to get high and forget life for an hour.

I'm sorry, but this is why law enforcement needs a fix. When a organization has this much power over its people anything less than being being perfect is unacceptable.
There was a cop that liked my mom back in the day, I was what 20. So once I got jimmy to give me a ride to a store I knew told him to run around the block ( in his patrol car ) and pick me up. There is absolutely no way he didn't know he took me to get dope.
They will put his ass in a sweet camp. Give em a punk ass 54 months. Unless they wanna make a statement and North Florida or panhandle his ass. Homeboy is fkd. Better pray for a Hardy, a Polk, or an Avon Park. 5 years in the work camp. Stooopid ass
Who are these buyers that feel comfortable purchasing drugs directly from a police car though?
It's Polk County, FL the cops are probably safer to buy from than the actual drug dealers
I have known a few drug dealers that wore a police uniform. The ones that I knew worked security for restaurants on the weekends. They tended to be shady individuals.
If you know you can, he is probably the safest guy to cop from.
Other cops
Maybe they knew him before he became a cop
WEEP WEEP
Lol right?
Jesus. They musta needed da fix
I mean they probably knew him. Usually you don’t buy and sell drugs to randos
“Are you a cop? You’d have to tell me if you’re a cop.” “Yes, I am. Here you go. Come again.”
I blame the gig economy
He wouldn’t have needed a side hustle if he didn’t spend all of his money on avocado toast.
Gotta have a side hustle lol
Nah. Trumps fault.
Police always have the best drugs.

Always taking everyone else's
Embarrassed, but no surprised/shocked/taken aback etc.
We regret being caught
Interesting, I'll be watching his political career closely.
Lol, that’s where we’re at.
He's an "innovator" that knows how to "make the system work for him."
Amateurs. We had an actual police officer selling crack in New Orleans.

Interview for Polk cops: Would you like to shoot someone?
They knew, they just didn't care. American police outside of major metros don't give any kind of a shit.
Cops are all about looking the other way as long as doing so is convenient for themselves.
This article… I wish those quotes were just editorial language but they’re not… they’re direct quotes.

I’d like to congratulate drugs for winning the war on drugs.
"He’s been a stellar volunteer, very well-loved, done a good job, except when he’s selling oxys out of the car”
People piss on Sheriff Grady Judd, but they'll miss him when he's gone. Kind of like Orange Man... both hot take masters of the art.
It's convenient when you can simply arrest the competition
He can’t arrest anyone, he’s a volunteer
After reading the title out loud and calling the guy a 'dick', my gf was like "why is he a dick, aren't you opposed to the war on drugs?". Yes I am, but this guy was selling garage grime, which is full of all kinds of toxic impurities. That's what makes him a dick.
garage grime? he was selling pills that he got from a pharmacy

Jesus Christ

I’m sorry, “volunteers” are allowed to be in uniform and have access to patrol vehicles without a background check? What the actual hell?
When you’re desperate for volunteers…
Grew up a lot in winter haven, not surprised 🤣🤣
Lakeland/Mulberry and same.
Cmon, the man is 69 years old. You gotta give it to him for hassling at that age, and with some flare as well. When I’m 69, I’ll be in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank.
This wasn’t a volunteer deputy selling drugs…This was a drug dealer moonlighting as a deputy.
"I'm declaring war, on anyone who sells drugs in our community!"
well, thats how you do it in some cities in mexico... its safer to buy from the cops..
"Hey are you a cop?"
Solid quotes out of the sheriff:
Why is it whenever I hear about a shitshow in Florida it’s always Polk county
Grady Judd needs to do a press conference ! It would be perfect!
Guess they are just giving out free badges and guns
Huh...I wonder what state this...oh.
The only cop with a rope chain walking the beat.
Times are hard🤷♀️
Sounds like a great candidate for full-time employment.
Oh look my hometown again yay
Singlehandedly improving the public’s trust in police.
Side hustles getting serious
Wtf ?
I am so so so glad I can go into a store and buy my drugs legally now. Fuck having to deal with the contradiction of a cop car dispensing drugs when I am jonesing to get high and forget life for an hour.
Grady Judd is a ludicrous publicity hound, I didn't realize he was capable of being embarassed.
Oh he sure TF is lying about that part but as long as he gets to bloviate, he is happy.
Embarrassed he got caught? Or …
Florida man ruins everything.
I used to be a Sheriff Deputy in Pasco before I left Florida and went to college for something completely different. This doesn't shock me. At all.
Grady Judd, best reason to watch the news here sometimes. So entertaining.
I recommend reading the article. The actual Sheriff is freaking hilarious.
Haha eat shit, Grady. You can't even keep your own clean.
@rondesantis what the fuck?!? You are worried about the boarders and you are hiring felons??
Pay wasn't enough?
it says "volunteer" in the title
No, we’re embarrassed. Vet much?
Florida. Just. Stop.

A mandatory minimum of 15 years and the dude seems so chill about it lol, "welp I embarrassed the agency." Bro your life is over.
Wtf is a sheriff volunteer
I'm sorry, but this is why law enforcement needs a fix. When a organization has this much power over its people anything less than being being perfect is unacceptable.
Opportunity, Man!
A sheriff volunteer?

You should be more than embarrassed! Because I guarantee there are others that knew about or are doing the same thing!
Gotta work that sidehustle while you're doing the regular 9-5
Never change Florida
This is the state of the USA!!! Haha
Trump was the best president since Lincoln. I hate go brandon, but props for backing Ukraine. Wonder why Puttin waited for this "administion"
Isn't this photo just a bit of a dog whistle?
Why?
My dog isn’t responding to the pic at all… have the volume maxed out too…
Showing the mugshot?

Polk County? No wonder you left.
